Works excellent! If you are new to using alginate for casting, there’s plenty of excellent information on YouTube for getting the alginate:water ratio right. This sets fast, maybe just over two minutes using ice cold water (sets faster with heat) but it sets strong, so small details don’t seem to get lost from it ripping apart. The color change upon setting is nice too, but ultimately was not essential for my use - this is probably of more value to busy dental techs. The hardest part for me was making plaster casts (retroactive pun?) from the mold without leaving bubbles in the plaster, even using thin plaster and mushing it around in the low spots. This is overall good stuff and I’m sure many other uses for it can be found in molding/crafting so long as one is aware that it will eventually dry out and lose shape.
