Keeps Bullmastiff tethered
I like that it keeps our 8 month old puppy tethered to our dinning room table so I don't have to worry about him bothering our older dog or getting into trouble while my hands are busy doing other things in the house. He may whine a little but I think he's happier to be inside with us than pawing outside at the door. It also worked well outside tethered to a beam on our porch when we had company over. He was still apart of the fun and we weren't worried about him knocking over the kids. He has however chewed through some of the plastic covering but since it's metal underneath it still works.

Great Solution to a problem
I take my two dogs (a lab mix and a big, boxer mix) to the dog park every day. When we arrive and I lift up the back door of the station wagon, they both shoot out the back like a bullet and run to the park entrance. When taking your dog to the park you are supposed to have them on a leash at all times outside enclosed area. Well, they ARE both on a leash. It's just that no one is holding on to the other end. They are loose and sometimes encounter other dogs exiting the park, some of these dogs are quite small and are not interested in making friends with a 91 lb boxer. A month ago I ordered one of these tethers. I had tried cloth tethers but the dogs chewed through them. Now when I raise the rear door of the SW only one dog takes off like a bullet, the one which is not tethered. The other(since she can't jump when she is tethered) is well behaved and we walk in an orderly manner to the park entrance together. Today I am going to order my second tether so that I will then have two well behaved dogs instead of just one.

Very sturdy
Tethered my GSD just fine, when I was acclimating her to the other pets. Didn’t use it long though.

Just what I have been looking for...
We recently adopted a hyper active puppy into our home and needed a training tool to teach her boundaries and manners within our home. We tried that with 3 separate nylon leashes all of which she had chewed through easily within 5 mins, so into the bin they went.We were running out of leashes and the training was going nowhere. The chew-proof indoor tether was exactly what I was looking for, and it didn't matter that the puppy chewed through the all the plastic on the steel cable, she finally understood that she couldn't chew through the steel, and now training her is a breeze. The tether now looks like it has seen better days, but it is still functional and rust-free so far. We are very happy with the purchase for the price that we paid.

So far so good
My 6 month old lab has chewed through just about everything that claims to be chew-proof in just a few hours and sometimes minutes. We have gone through half a dozen leashes both nylon and leather. Who know how many toys that claim to be indestructible have been torn apart in minutes. We have had this tether now for a few months. The first time we put her on it she of course started to chew on it. She managed to chew off the plastic covers that hold together the ends and cover the metal but the actual tether cable has held up great. This has been a life saver! She can chew on it all she wants and so far the cable and cable cover are holding up. I would recommend this to anyone with a heavy chewer that needs to keep their pup near by.

a little intense and heavy
My 45-lb 9-month old pup has chewed through nylon leashes when tethered to my desk at work. I need the tether so he doesn't wander down the hallway, so I thought this seemed like a good solution. When it arrived, I was a little shocked at its weight. This thing is heavy and intense. When I clipped it on my dog, he looked at me like "why am I in prison now?" and laid down for almost the entire day (not normal). Of course, he did try to chew it, and he was completely unable to, so that was nice. But I'm going to keep searching for a thinner wire tether - one that isn't as heavy as intense, so my pup isn't as bothered by it. I wish they made this in a thinner wire that was 5-6 ft long, I would buy that because despite my complaints, it is a very solid, sturdy product.

Tether training must have for super
The only part my chew-monster (6 month old 50lb mutt) has been able to get is the rubber coverings on the end of the wire. This tether has held up with many escape attempts.

Good solution for puppy time out & safety
The tether is great for keeping our dog safe from running out the front door when people are coming in or just standing at the door talking...or when she needs to calm down. The chew-proof covering for the tether is still able to be bitten by puppy teeth and became ragged rather quickly, although has stayed in tact. I dislike the heaviness of the clips because we have the tether around our wooden bannister. It does the job and is a relief to have.
