How low is the working temperature?

I live in Jefferson New Hampshire. About 50 Miles from the Canadian border. I installed one of these outside over my front door for light when I come home and have to find the key hole. It has been below 0 here and most of the winter below freezing. The light works fine out there exposed to the biter cold.

Is the motion detector on this light a photocell so it won't come on when it senses light or is it just motion only all the time?

Comes on in dark only, with motion detection, then shuts off after a few seconds of inactivity. One exception, the glow feature which allows continuous lighting at a much lower brightness even if there's no motion/activity.

Will this work through glass?

No motion sensor lights work through glass. The motion sensors are actually heat detectors (PIR or passive infra-red). Glass will prevent the sensor from getting a reading on the body heat.

Will these work in a closet, or we they always be on because of the darkness?

They should work fine in a closet they only come on when there's motion and only in the dark. I have it in a dark hallway and it comes on when we come out of our bedrooms.
