As soon as I replaced old for new, the fish were completely different, I highly recommend changing the bulb every 12 months so the fish stay happy and active, good price and a goid product.

Fitted mine to my 'All Pond Solutions UV Steriliser Filter Pump All in One (CUP-305)'. I was expecting something more complicated but basically undo a few screws, pull off the quartz housing, pull out the old bulb - push in the new one, wipe the housing with something, put the screws back in ... doneWaited until dark, looked into pond and there was the faint gleam of my new UV tube reassuringly gleaming through that overly-thick viewing port ... all good for another 12 months

This is OK but its the second time I bought one a year ago and it was very effective. So bought another this summer it does not seem to be as effective
