Grilleye Pro Plus

Grill Eye Pro was purchased as a Christmas gift for my son. After a few months the thermometer appeared to develop a fault and was returned to the seller. The thermometer was then returned back to my son stating it had been tested and there was no fault. The thermometer still did not function correctly and in desperation he spoke to the manufacturer of the thermometer who sent an e mail with instructions on how to fix the issue as apparently it is a common issue with an old operating system. It would of all my so much simpler (and good customer service) if the seller had done this when the return request was generated. Customer service can only be described as abrupt and sadly lacking. Would not recommend purchasing anything from this seller.

J'édite mon avis mais laisse le premier pour que cela soit compris : Avis initial : Si au départ j'étais très content de ce produit et lui reprochait une connexion wifi un peu faiblarde (mon téléphone au même endroit captait très bien), c'est allé de pire en pire. Les mises à jour ont totalement déstructuré la fiabilité du Wifi et du Bluetooth aussi ! L'application plante, il y a des pertes de connexion tout le temps, et au final je l'utilise maintenant sans aucune connexion. J'avais même dédié un smartphone à côté pour gérer les sondes et ca n'y arrive pas... Je suis déçu alors que le produit est bien fini et bien pensé. Donc merci aux ingénieurs/développeurs de proposer rapidement une mise à jour qui améliore vraiment l'utilisation du produit pour qu'il fasse ce qu'il est censé faire. C'est dépitant ! Avis complémentaire (suite edit) : j'ai trouvé la cause du problème en parcourant des dizaines de forum et pages Facebook d'utilisateur. Un dimanche matin suite a une nième mise a jour que j'espérais la bonne, je constate qu'il devient impossible de connecter mon téléphone et la sonde en bluetooth comme en wifi. J'étais a deux doigts d'acheter un modèle concurrent. Mais bon cela ne m'aurait pas été pour le BBQ du jour. J'ai donc fini par trouver qu'après une mise a jour de l'appareil il fallait rester celui-ci en appuyant pendant env 10 secondes sur le bouton ON sur coté. Cel1 provoque un hard-reset. Cela force la mise a jour complète. Est écrit nulle part. Depuis connection sir le cloud en wifi parfaite, idem en bluetooth sur mon téléphone. C'est donc incroyable mais la boîte ne donne pas assez d'info et l'application reste le pont noir. Il faut mieux communiquer et guider les utilisateurs sur les mise a jours. Cela éviterait bien des frustrations... Mais bon je remets 4 etoiles car sinon le produit reste très bien !👍

Ideal für Langzeit Jobs. So kann ich die Temperaturen auf dem Grill von überall her sehen. Einerseits über WLAN in der Nähe von den WLAN Routern oder über das Internet mit einer VPN Verbindung ins heimische Netz. Funktioniert super. Gerade z.B. bei Pull Park was schon mal gut 14 Stunden dauert. Und kann somit ausser Haus gehen, muss nur dann rechtzeitig zurück sein, wenn die Kerntemperatur fast erreicht ist :-) . Der Anschluss von 8 Fühlern ist schon recht viel, aber die anderen Anbieter bieten mestens nur 2 Anschlüssen. Letztens hätte ich gerne 5 Fühler gehabt, 3 Unterschiedliche Fleichsorten, bzw. Fisch und Grilltemeratur auf 2 ebenen. D.h. werde noch 3 Fühler Nachordern. Die Einrichtung auf meinem iPhone X wollte am Anfang mit Bluetooth nicht funktionieren, habe dann ein anders Smartdevice (iPad) genommen aus den Grilleye von dort mit meinem WLAN verbunden. Somit ging es dann auch per WLAN auf dem iPhone.

I purchased this product so I wouldn't have to walk across the house to check up on my fire every 30 minutes. At first getting the wifi or bluetooth to work was spotty, however they've pushed out some patches recently to help with this issue. It still needs a bit of tweaking, since the bluetooth still has difficulty reconnecting occasionally and the wi-fi will sometimes lose signal strength. However if you have good wifi coverage this shouldn't be an issue, I just so happen to be cooking about 100 feet from the building, and my closest access point at least another 30 feet inside the building. However the device itself and the software are both very user friendly, and the probes have been very accurate. I use one probe to keep tabs on the ambient temperature since the gauge on my pit is junk. and it's such a time saver. However it's super taxing on your phones battery if you don't use the energy saving features, so make sure to keep it plugged in. Hopefully they'll add some a few more options on the home screen. Right now it has all the ideal temps for food which is great. It'd be nice if they added an option for "fat rendering" at 190 to 200 degrees, as well as ambient temperature ranges. You can create these in the custom features though, so not to big of a deal. I do wish that the LED screen on the device itself could flip over though so I could put the probe ports on the right hand side and view the monitor.
