After 2 months of dealing with angular dermatitis that would not go away worse flare up I've had. I got this stuff. It takes time and it's been a few weeks using it but it really has started clearing things up from day one. My flare-up was really really bad it's taking a bit to get under control but this stuff is amazing. I'll always have this on hand so if I ever have a flare up again I can get rid of it fast so it doesn't get really bad

I have been suffering with peri oral dermatitis for TWELVE years!! I guess symptoms may vary a little from person to person but mine were sore, burning, itching, angry red bumps all around my mouth and chin and lower nose. As you can imagine, I have tried every single thing you can think of and many you couldn’t think of. I went to a dermatologist at the beginning of 2014 after about 6 months of trying different things on my own. I was given a couple of topical prescriptions which didn’t work. Then he recommended Accutane which is a somewhat scary oral medication. I was reluctant to take it but I finally agreed. I took it for a year with no improvement in symptoms. So I stopped that drug and he gave me some samples of another topical. No improvement. Then he kinda threw up his hands and said, more or less, I don’t know what else to do. From then until now I’ve sporadically tried different things or just lived with it. Using makeup when I’m out and about. On May 11, 2025 I, honestly, don’t remember what made me search Amazon, yet AGAIN, for something I hadn’t tried before. Well, I saw Terrasil and read the reviews and thought okay I guess maybe I’ll try one more stupid thing that won’t work. Sigh. And then it was quite expensive so I hesitated. Anyway, I ordered and received the next afternoon. Well, the directions were to use once or twice per day. I put on a small amount all around my mouth and it seemed very benign and gentle. No burning no nothing. So I used a couple of times during afternoon/evening.(I tend to be a if some is good more is better type). The next morning when I woke up the whole peri oral area was one big SCAB and scale like I’d been burned. It wasn’t red and didn’t feel bad. Just scab, scab, scab. Well, didn’t know what to think about that really. I won’t go into boring detail about day to day improvements but, as of June 19, 2025, this miserable skin condition that I’ve suffered with all these years is 98/99% healed! The scabs and scale just sloughed off and reformed, sloughed off and reformed less and less each day. There were a few new bumps and I used a TEENY, TINY amount of Terrasil on those once a day. I’m SO, SO, SO AMAZED and HAPPY!!!! Thank you, Terrasil! I guess I should buy a lifetime supply.UPDATE: It’s now August 7, 2025. I’m still AMAZED! My peri oral dermatitis is gone but I still need to use Terrasil once per day because I can tell by a subtle burning sensation that a red bump is about to erupt. Maybe I’ll have to use indefinitely but that’s ok. Almost 3 months later I’m still on the my first .5 oz tube. But, of course, my problem is a small area and I use a tiny amount. I have another tube waiting though. ALSO, I had an actinic keratosis on my forehead. Very small, pink scaly spot from sun damage. I’ve had it for 20-25 years. I’ve used this or that cream now and then but none worked. I didn’t really care bc it’s really small and unnoticeable. However, I thought I’d just try this Terrasil that I was using for the other problem. It took 2 months of once a day use but the AK is now GONE. Yup. At least 20 years but now gone. So there ya go. Just sayin.

It took the pain away but, didn’t quite clear it.

I purchased this product for my 93-year-old mother who suffered from bedsores. She suffers from dementia and I care for her and was concerned when I discovered she was developing bed sores because she was lying on the couch so much during the day. In addition to daily walking (which is difficult for her but I added it anyway), this cream, and sheepskin sleeping mats, the bedsores no long occur. It really is amazing. I've had a problem with a re-occurring bacterial infection on my lower legs for ten years and this medication cleared it up. I won't ever be without it. It's pricey but well worth it if you want cuts and rashes to clear up quickly and permanently.Additional comments and update (1/30/2020): I've bought this product five times now. Recently I reviewed many of the comments looking for one specifically referring to cellulitis. Evidently, the product cleared up the cellulitis (a potentially dangerous infection caused by skin bacteria penetrating a break in the skin and usually appearing on the lower legs). Reading through the comments I was amazed that there should be any negative reviews. To follow are a few with rebuttals: (1) the ointment is pricey. Okay, I'll give you that. It's not cheap (maybe a good thing?); (2) It burns the skin. Huh!? There is NO burning sensation of any kind. NONE. (3) It aggravates a condition. Once again, Huh!? I used it on my right leg which developed cellulitis--I cleaned the area twice a day with hydrogen peroxide (the first time, closing up the seepages with 30% pharmacy-grade hydrogen peroxide, a questionable practice, I know), and, using it like a cream, spread the Terrasil over the entire lower right leg. I did this for 10 days, 2x daily (after the first session I used 3% hydrogen peroxide) and this very dangerous infection cleared up. It completely eliminated my mother's bedsores without expensive doctor visits. So, just my two cents worth: I am simply mystified as to the negative reviews. And if anyone did have an adverse reaction, I would think that before using any topical medication, a person would test a very small area first to see if any allergic reaction or some other kind of negative response occurs before applying it liberally on the body.

I put this on some irritated skin I had on my face, hoping to heal it, and it made it so much worse. It became more red and more irritated, and spread to cover a larger area. The ingredients are all different types of oils, so it’s not good if you’re looking for something more comedogenic. It was also crazy expensive for how little you get. I wish I could return it but I can’t. I would like a refund since I paid so much just to make it so much worse.UPDATE: the seller contacted me and refunded the order, leading me to update my review. Perhaps others will have more success with this particular product, but I will consider ordering from this company again because of how wonderful their customer service was in fixing the issue.
