Works great!
Works great and the price was right. Arrived quickly and as ordered. Would recommend to any who is looking for a stud finder. I have read other reviews were people said it didn't work, but I decided to take a chance on it anyways. Not sure why those people rated it poorly, because it works perfectly. You MUST read the instructions in order to understand how to properly work it.

accurate with a useless DVD
This unit, the Zircon i320, is an accurate but rather large stud sensor. It does just what the description states but I couldn't help wondering if they couldn't have made it smaller. It comes with what can only be described as an advertisment DVD which is full of basically advertisments for different studsensors made by the same company. I also found an annoying problem with this studsensor. The case is shaped in such a way that when you hold it against the wall for long periods of time your fingers start to cramp. It's because of the semi dome shape of the case. It's like trying to hold a pyramid at the point. If you turn it around so the information faces the wall you can hold it against the wall all day long without a problem...but that would be stupid because it would also render the unit useless.

Doesn't seem to work. Might be my thick plaster ...
Doesn't seem to work. Might be my thick plaster walls, but I bought this model especially because it advertised it was able to sense through them.

Five Stars
Just what I needed.

Worthless
Watched the video instructions. Checked and double checked and then hit a stud. Now I have to redo some of the ceiling for the speaker. This product is absolutely worthless.

Excellent studfinder!
Works great! Took a bit of time to use the stud finder properly, but there are easy to follow directions right on the back of the device. I did a lot of research before purchasing this product, although I found that the reviews on studfinders in general are inconsistent. In practice it works very well, when used properly. One great thing that I noticed that if you happen to calibrate the stud finder when it is already over a stud, it will not know that it was on a stud until you slide it away from it. The device will realize this has happened and show an arrow pointing towards the stud you just moved away from.I would take a bet that the poor reviews about any good stud finder are due to user error, not the device itself. At first I thought I was finding "phantom studs" but soon realized that I was detecting horizontal studs. Thinking that I had detected a vertical stud, I ended up putting the mark above the horizontal stud which resulted in marking a spot that had no stud at all. I know this may sound stupid to people who are more familiar with wall structure, but I'll bet many people think that there are only vertical studs. You may detect a stud but notice that it will not give you an indication of the center. This is a good sign you are on a horizontal stud. You can still find the center if you turn the stud finder sideways. This information may be mentioned on the included dvd but I was unable to access a dvd player at the time.Another thing to know is that calibration happens as soon as you press the button and it must be already against the wall when you press it. If you press the button before the stud finder is against the wall, it will not work properly at all.Anyway, I hope this info saves people from needlessly returning a stud finder. I will say that this product is consistently accurate.

I find the unit bullet proof
I have read all the few 6 to be exact reviews and really think it comes down to not knowing how to use this stud finder. clearly put if you are just looking for a stud behind standard drywall use the stud mode and what will happen is it will first show you your stud edge... mark this point next it will beep and the laser goes on for your center mark this point... next it will show the other edge mark this point as well. As with any measuring tool measure twice drill or cut once. If it's not accurate do it again. And lets not forget life before stud finders knock the darn wall to be sure there's your manual confirmation. Come on stop being so crazy. Now onto the deep scan mode ..... I have found studs way more than 11/8" deep as another reviewer said he couldn't even do that. I found studs appx 4" on the other side of the darn wall !!! and the great thing was it also told me there was live A/C current there as well and you now what I checked and there was a outlet exactly where it said in the next room !!!! so what are they talking about the deep scan doesn't work ? it works just fine. now to the metal side and this was of great interest to me as a hvac / plumbing guy yes it does work but you need to dial it in so to speak within a narrowing range. So lets say you detect metal mark the first point you detect and then keep going and it will beep again a few inches later mark this point. this is your refrence point. Now go back to your first marking and move towards the other mark and it will beep again but a little closer this time. do the same from the other mark inwards and again it will beep a bit closer, do this one more time and your on the metal dead on and believe me it does locate the pipes 100% accurately. Another trivial stupid little test I did for fun.... I had a knee replacement last year and it picks up the metal scres and socket in my knee hahahaha I thought that was funny as crap to be honest. I tell my wife I'm a stud not that I needed this tool to tell her that : ). so why four stars ? simple I wish it was backlit like the the I520 but that is no fault of this unit it's my own hang up I just felt for the money a backlight should be in this model as well for us guys and girls that work in dark light attics or in dark basments. All in all it's a great tool and a must for both the homeowner who noodles around hanging mirrors and pictures or the contractor that's looking to do a full on renovation I highly recommend this unit to anyone period.

Disappointing
Tried the e50 and was disappointed. Thought I would by this more expensive unit. The unit works great for finding wood wall studs. But was totally disappointed in the deep scan mode. Trying to find wood floor joists through 5/8 inch particle board over 1/2 inch plywood. It could not find one joist, sad as zircon usually makes a good product. But their deep scan technology sucks.
