There is one magnet for each light strip. The light strip is magnetic on the back. You can stick the magnet where you want, then the light strip will stick to the magnet. I haven’t stick the light to anything metal. I use them as backlighting on some deep shelving. They just sit there undisturbed.

How long is it supposed to take to charge lights? Mine has been plugged in for over 24 hours.

Should be charged in three hours or less.

Will this light strip work on vinyl siding to use outside in the front door?

These lights use a 3M adhesive strip,with a magnetic strip on the reverse side to hold the light in place.This 3M strip is adhering very well to wood(under kitchen cabinets) so I'm very confident they would adhere to vinyl.
