Hi Mary, this item is the vehicle only, but you can purchase a Nintendo Mario Kart 8 race set, item No. 62361, which contains the Mario and Toad Karts plus track and everything you need to race out of the box.

Q: I realize the scale is different and it states this car will only work with the GO tracks, but has anyone tried it on the Carrera first track?

The car is unfortunately too large for the First track.
