From the Publisher About the Book Every time we are introduced to someone new, try to be creative, or start a difficult conversation, we take a risk. We feel uncertain and exposed. We feel vulnerable. Most of us try to fight those feelings - we strive to appear perfect. In a powerful new vision Dr Brené Brown challenges everything we think we know about vulnerability, and dispels the widely accepted myth that it's a weakness. She argues that, in truth, vulnerability is strength and when we shut ourselves off from vulnerability - from revealing our true selves - we distance ourselves from the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Daring Greatly is the culmination of 12 years of groundbreaking social research, across every area of our lives including home, relationships, work, and parenting. It is an invitation to be courageous; to show up and let ourselves be seen, even when there are no guarantees. This is vulnerability. This is daring greatly. Review: Amazing book. A must must must read. - I'm so glad I Received the book in good condition which actually was a concern for me. DARING GREATLY by @brenebrown As mentioned on the book cover " DARING GREATLY How the Courage to be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent and Lead. The word Vulnerable increased my curiosity to read this book. Being someone who has been criticized for being vulnerable and sensitive since forever thought of reading this book to just feel understood by someone atleast. But this book is a treasure of knowledge and helps you understand much more than I thought. The author has put 12 years of research in this book. No amount of words can express how good this book is and surely a must read for each and everyone hence I would rather best let you all know the content of the book. What it means to dare greatly? Chapter 1- Scarcity : Looking inside our culture of "Never Enough" Chapter 2 - Debunking the Vulnerability myths Chapter 3 - Understanding and combating Shame ( personally found this so helpful ) Chapter 4 - The Vulnerability Armory Chapter 5 - Mind the Gap : Cultivating Change and Closing the Disengagement Divide Chapter 6 - Disruptive Engagement : Daring to Rehumanize Education and Work Chapter 7 - Wholehearted Parenting : Daring to be the Adults We Want Our Children to Be ( this is a must chapter for most of the parents/would be parents it can change the entire way of parenting and built such amazing relation between the parents and the child ) I would just keep ranting that this book is a must read for each and everyone of all age grp and from all walks of life. Whatever role you play ( I'm sure you're playing multiple roles all the time) be it student, parent, professional (could be any), boss, leader you name it, this book will really help you do better and even personally it will help you understand some of your traits come from where (childhood or adolescence) and how to process them and do better for yourself. Review: Fantastic book - I would recommend this book to people who want to learn and improve their personality. This book shows how comfort zones can be dangerous and how life lived on the edge helps you to continuously re-invent yourself.

Great book but language is Messy
This book is awesome and great on subject but for Indian English it is not coming up very well. The author seems to think that the reader is very much aware about psychology but it is not so, according to my opinion the author must put it simply and make it lucid so everyone can grasp the subject.

Best book I recently came across
I am awed with the whole idea of vulnerability, fears and how it makes us dysfunction, has been beautifully brought on forefront by Brene. There were parts that made me introspect, some made me cry, some blew my mind away as the text kept digging deeper into my mind. The book is an amazing read. I wished to write a feedback to the author every time I felt like “Oh, God!”. Kudos!!

Outstanding book on what it means to be human
Eye opening research. Great book that shines a light on what it means to be truly human - to be vulnerable, compassionate and kind, to be our authentic selves, to be wholehearted, to live wholesome lives through the trials and challenges that life throws at us.

Good research but poor execution with Biasness & crowd pleasing
Nah Girl I wanted help & to rewire my thinking and brain. I didn't sign up for a brainwash. The author does some stuff there to unfairly pull some amount of crowd on her side. Mostly the insecure and vulnerable people who'll defend what she says without much logic. It feels like a big red flag for that I couldn't read further.

Tansformative!
This book is life changing. It’s written simply and beautifully with lots of research and insight and deep understanding. It’s helping me see clearly into my own self, reminding me of experiences that I haven’t remembered in a while - but which has been subconsciously influencing my behaviours and thought processes- I understand now where I come from. And it’s liberating. Now that I know, I can work my way out of the stronghold of these experiences that are holding me captive, making me shut down and board up. It also throws light on the actions of others around me.. why they maybe doing the things are doing.. and when you finally see it - their struggle - it helps us be more compassionate. More kinder to the people around us. Our family, friends, coworkers who are all waging internal battles just like us. That feeling of being in this together.. the connectedness I experienced reading this book - just priceless. I am almost done with the book but I’m definitely coming back for a second helping 😊

Dare Greatly
I came to know about Brene Brown through one of her TEDX videos that was sent to me by a friend on whatsapp. At that time, I was working on an innovative product, working as the sole researcher and I was going through shame and I felt like an idiot. Her videos helped me finish my work. Recently, I signed up for some child birth education training and this book was one of the reads and I immediately ordered it on Amazon Kindle. I read this book at a time where I am moving to a new country in 2 weeks, I had 100s of "Gremlins" in my head, telling me I am not good enough or I will fail again. But I now know, I am daring greatly to move to a new country, and that's what matters. Thank you Brene Brown, for letting me know its ok to be vulnerable and that joy is very important. I grew up in an Indian culture where shaming for body and reproductive choices are a daily affair but this book also helped me find space for my family members with whom I had some deep rooted issues, I found the compassion and I dare greatly to have healthy boundaries and love in my life.
