Fabulous devices, not intended for the amateur.
This is *not intended for the average user. I’ve used the UniFi Controller for several years, so, it is easy for me. Installing and initial configuration of the Controller can be a challenge.

UniFi WiFi Networks are Amazing!
I have installed 4 or 5 networks using the UniFi AP's, and can't speak highly enough for them. They create a mesh of wireless coverage that is totally seamless and can simultaneously support both public and private networks (think one that the office can use for access to the servers, etc. while still providing wi-fi access to visitors). The only "issue" I've had was when people couldn't log onto the public network, which I found out was because there were more users connecting than I had addresses provisioned for! Tech support helped me figure that out, by the way, and as soon as I added more addresses to the pool, problems disappeared. Which is the next plus to this system - tech support actually knows what they're talking about. When they say something like the following, you know they're pretty tech savvy: "(06:33:13 PM) Carter: Hmmmmmm. So the UniFi doesn't act as a DHCP server? (06:33:42 PM) Debbie H.: AP is just a layer2 device. It won't assign IP address to clients."Buy one of these systems - you will be glad you did!

Bad Advise
Unify support incorrectly told me this unit is faster than the AP-AC-LR. Not true, had to return for the AC version. Bad advice.

Amazing, reliable, robust units for a price that can't be beat!
I have used these at numerous client installs as well as my home and office and they always work great. It's very easy to add additional units to the Unifi network and they are very robust and reliable. You can mix and match Unifi models to match your needs. They are not standard 48v POE so you will need to use the included POE injectors or a switch capable of 24v passive POE. If you are going to have more than a handful, I highly recommend the Unifi POE switches. Again, very easy to adopt into the network and easy to program. The long range units are amazing and in several instances, I have turned down their output a bit. At a recent install, the client (who exclusively uses Cisco for their own network), was overly impressed with the range that these had compared to their existing infrastructure.

Possibly the best feature is the look
What can I say? You get what you pay for. Ubiquiti is challenging CISCO with an aggressive and down-to-earth hardware. Granted this is not for the average installer, these products are at a minimum 'pro-sumer' grade in terms of quality, performance and installation--a strong background n networking is required (I have 9 years of IT/Networking under my belt) IF you want to utilize the multitude of features that these beauties offer. I have installed aver 60 of them in SOHO and mid-size companies---3 years running and only one break-dow( firmware upgrade gone awry".....That's a 98.33% success rate....Possibly the best feature is the look, feel, and performance of the GUI...The 'look" of the AP itself is quite unobtrusive and appealing...Would I recommend this product?...Four words: "Hell To The Yes"..
