This is my favourite when compared to Portronics
OMG.... This is my favourite when compared to Portronics. It has all functionalities that you could find in your car's FM transmitter.I bought this for my grandparents but later I decided to keep it. However I gifted them Portronics FM Speaker which is equally impressive.Pros:Beautiful design (5 stars)Multi functional - FM, Bluetooth, SD card, PenDrive slot and torch. (5 stars)Volume is quite impressive from a small Geometry Box. (5 stars)Battery life is quite impressive. (5 stars)Cons:1. Weight is high (heavy) if we compare to Portronics speaker. (1 star)2. Loud speaker is not good at high volume. (3 stars)3. Torch is not a torch to handle in the dark. It is just a LED. I feel, it may not required. (1 star)Conclusion: We can gift this FM even to a visually challenged person, because this one responds back when we change mode. I love that.If you are a frequent listener of FM, then go for it...Thanks for the product and I love it!

It's good product with added features, but some improvements are needed more.
I had bought a Portronics FM Radio twice earlier for my family members and was happy with it. But this time, when I looked for the same product when my maid and driver asked for it, I couldn't find it on Amazon. Probably it has been discontinued. After reading all reviews, I bought two Pagaria FM radio in a gap of about 15 days, and feel that:The product has added features like Torch and TF card play slot with Bluetooth in it. It can work with your phone also. However, following improvements are suggested more:1. Its volume control needs to be re-adjusted every time you start, as it does not remember its last set volume.2. It has external antenna, unlike Portronics radio and FM reception has a little disturbance, if antenna is not opened.3. The switches are a little crunchy, and may be improved.4. The price is also higher at Rs. 1299/-, than Portronics and should be competitive.Vinod Kumat

Battery doesnt hold for too long
Bought this piece on 24th Oct, and here are my observations:Its a made in China product. Looks decent.Pros:USB playerSound is loud enough.Sound crispness when played through USB is okay okay. It plays the small sounds in a song a little bit big. So, it is like when you tune to a radio station, and not tuned exactly.Cons:Whenever you On the device, it first goes to clock mode. Then you can select other modes (USB/TF, Bluetooth, FM).As soon as you On, there is an announcement that it is in Clock mode. It is loud announcement. Cannot be controlled. So, if you On the device in the night or some quiet place, the loudness is high.USB/TF card mode: The device reads the files okay, and plays it too. But if you want to rewind or forward a little in the song, there are no controls to do it. The only controls are Volume up/down, next/previous file.Bluetooth: I didnt try it.Battery: This is a big drawback. The first time, i charged it for 8hrs as per the manual. Then it held on only for 4hrs. Later on when i charge it fully, again it held up only for 3-4hrs. This happened for 4-5 cycles. I am returning the product for this reason. Totally not satisfied. There is no indicator to show how much battery is charged. The battery cell itself is a Li-ion battery, made in china. Capacity: 2200mAhBuild quality: To looks initially it seems okay. But when observed when it is playing, the LED lights come out through the gaps of the display panel also, as shown in the picture.

Don't buy it
Terrible product. While the basic sound is okay, any one of the Cons mentioned below would be enough to prevent me from buying it:- Power switch is difficult to operate and you don't know whether it worked since the response is slow- Battery life is poor. Comparable or larger products with similar price tags last 3-4 X longer- Manufacturing quality is very bad. Battery cover has become loose after only a few weeks- UX is the worst you can imagine. The same button is used for volume and channel change (go figure!) Don't know what the designers were thinking.I would have loved to return it but the time given was only 10 days so I missed the opportunity.

Significantly better than Portronics Radio
It's a very good mini radio. I gifted it to my parents and they are very happy with it. I had earlier given them Portronics' similar looking fm radio. That one was good too, but lasted for only 1.5 years. So I was again in search of a new radio, when I found this one. I was again going to buy the Portronics one, but then thought of trying something different. Hence bought Pagaria L837BT.It's the same as Portronics radio with additional features of -1. Bluetooth reception2. In build rechargeable batteries of regular AA size.(Radio charges them too. No need of separate charger)3. USB pend drive reader4. Better looking display5. Antenna. Improves reception significantly.6. Better speaker. Audio quality is noticeably better. All in all, feel like a better decision to purchase this one instead of Portronics. Only time shall tell how long it lasts

Excellent value for Money.
Appears rugged and of good quality. Very handy size. Sound quality and volume good.a. Blue Tooth range quite good. Used it to connect to TV and listen to audio clearly.b. FM reception is good. Having telescopic antenna is nice and provides a nice retro look.c. Large standard 18650 Li-Ion Cell makes it easy to buy outside when necessary. Did not test the operating time but definitely should last 5 to 6 hours of playing I think atleast.Few inconveniences mainly from Interface side.a. Announcement volume level is very high and can't be modified. Every power on defaults to Clock mode with very loud announcement of the mode. Again every mode change causes a loud announcement of the new mode. Wish the default level could be adjusted.b. Volume control is not easy since the buttons have shared functions. A rotary volume control would have been much better.
