Yo - batteries are electric. But, in this case 1) it will run a long time with the regular batteries you put into it, and, 2) you can purchase a plug into the wall with a long cord if you want to jack it into the power grid. There is a little spike that snaps into the light. Best book light I've ever owned - in 65 years.

Can it be plugged to an AC Adapter (input:120-240v)?

I'd really have to second guess all the answers on the contrary. This device does have a charging port, and takes 3 AAA batteries. One could assume that with rechargeable batteries, and the appropriate charging plug, it may be possible. Haven't tried myself.

Can I clip this light to my headboard?

not unless it is a very thin headboard. It is meant (I think) to be clipped on a clipboard or a book. It is a small reading light so that you could use it on a plane or in bed as to not disturb anyone close to you. I cannot say it would NOT work on a headboard as that is not how I use it. I use mine a lot on planes and in bed clipped directly onto the book or magazine. I used it last week while judging a talent competition where the lighting was poor at the judges' table.
