Try and ignore all bad reviews for this product...I lived a few years in Japan, this is one of the most authentic miso paste you will find in India

Healthy and good
Taste wise it's ok, use only a small quantity in soup And add lots of veggies, noodles etc. If you add too much it taste wise it get a little bitter.

I'm Japanese, impressions and suggestions
I am Japanese and I am satisfied with this miso. But are you dissatisfied making miso soup only with this miso? Of course not. Japanese miso soup is made by adding bonito fish dashi to miso. In other words, it is non-vegetarian. But if you want to make vegetarian miso soup, please add kombu dashi. If it is difficult to prepare it, try adding AJINOMOTO.

I am satisfied it does add flavour to my dishes! Only min point is thats the plastic bottle! I am against plastic! Urban Platter should try to use glass bottles which even better to keep the flavour!!

price has doubled in 2 years
I like this miso and was about to purchase another order. However, amazon has DOUBLED the price since I last purchased 2 years ago!!!!The low rating is for amazon pricing. The product itself is good.
