Dap 8647 100% Silicone Wd&S Bronze Raw Building Material, 9.8 oz

Item was reasonably priced and arrived quickly. The actual quality of this silicone caulk will reveal itself with time, however, I've used a variety of DAP sealants for years and have no complaints. I purchased this particular product in "BRONZE" to seal the gap between a granite countertop and back splash. I thought this caulk was the correct call for my counters because they are fairly dark with flecks of tan, brown, black and bronze. This caulk was very dark brown to black. Quite a bit darker than anticipated and definitely not your typical Crayola Bronze. I went ahead and put down a neat bead of caulk nonetheless since the prep work was done and I was a little anxious to get appliances back on the counter. Looks alright... just several shades darker than it would be. Should have been labeled, "Wicked Dark Brown" or, "Not Quite Black but Almost".

I bought this before while searching for a caulk that would match my gun metal colered tin backsplash. Since we recently remodeled again, I needed more caulk to complete my project.

I like the DAP silicone product much better than many of the competitors that I've tried. With water washable latex, a few air bubbles, and some different densities in the tube aren't that big of a problem. With silicone, you want no air and very consistent density so you get a very consistent bead. This stuff is hard to clean up! The DAP product provides that consistent bead. (I'll have to update this review in 50 years to see if it holds up to the guarantee). Note the color of the product that you order! This product is NOT PAINTABLE.

Once dried very tough Some of the strongest I've ever use

I normally love their products but the color is totally off on this one. It is much darker than the outer color would indicate. We needed something to match the floor and the tube color indicated it would be perfect. Unfortunately, what came out was extremely dark brown. Very disappointed. FYI: dries VERY shiny.
