Ryn Women's Sport Walking Shoes

I read that this shoe was good for hallux limitus (I'm self-diagnosed) because it helps the stride by rocking instead of forcing the toe to bend to propel forward. This is true! I usually feel the most pain when walking downhill, which is often a bit faster because I've been working hard to get uphill and don't think to slow down. With the shoe, I *do* feel the toe on the uphills--though not a pain, just a slight "I'm still here"--and the downhills are great! I don't even notice the toe on the downhills. Also, the sole is very stiff and I have not had any stability problems. I understand this type of shoe was redesigned with stability in mind.The shoe came with a second set of laces that had more sticking power while you're tying them up. Additionally it came with a tie device that I don't know how to use :) It also came with a pair of inserts that I haven't tried yet. I'm wondering if it would help the fit. I have LONG second toes and measured my size with that toe. I still had to go down a size because they didn't have what I measured, but could have used even one size smaller. The shoes are wide and the weight of them makes it just a teensy bit taxing when they slip on your heel. I tied them REALLY tightly and it helped the slight slipping. I'm going to try the inserts on a short walk and see if that helps the fit. Overall I am very happy with the shoes, though I do wish I had a 9 instead of the 9.5 I purchased. (again, my second toe to the heel measured size 10). This shoe definitely helps the hallux limitus!

I work in a factory environment and do at least 5 miles a day there on concrete floors. I was having a lot of pain and swelling. I have been trying all types of shoes these actually are working. Is there a break in period and learning curve for walking in them? Yes, I did feel like I was on stilts and did have to have an extra pair of shoes to switch into half way through the day. I did that twice but now am walking all day with little to no pain. I highly recommend them!

I have a difficult time finding walking shoes that don't start to hurt my feet after 2 miles. Toning shoes seems to work best so I thought I would try Ryns. It took a bit of time to get used to the rocking motion but I can walk for miles at a time comfortably and love the fit and feel. I am a devoted fan from now on.

I love rocker shoes. They relieve the pressure off Morton's neuroma. Too bad that so many companies have discontinued their production. This shoe is very comfortable and did not have to be broken in.

These shoes put pressure on the underside of my toes so that they went numb. Additionally, they made my middle back hurt really bad. I only had them on for about 45 minutes to try them out. They just hurt me too badly.

I love these shoes and when they wear down I will order another pair. They keep me off the concrete at work for a little while. And with feet problems thats a big help.

Fit just like my Ryn unisex Athletic walking shoes in black. The mesh upper provides a much better fit than the Ryn Trail walking shoes.
