68 years of Popcorn!
REVISED: I deleted half of the original review (which follows). I rated it 5 stars again. I feel I should have been more educational and sound less critical. Most bags I bought popped plush and pretty as most people want to serve to guests. One bag was different. I believe popcorn does not "fluff up pretty" for two reasons. This particular popcorn seems to need hot oil. (So you have to use medium or hot-cooking oil WITHOUT adding butter while popping. Secondly, the internal part of the kernel must be dry--not damp. Corn which is dried not quite long enough will never pop up fluffy. HOWEVER, dampish popcorn can be a fabulous treat. Really. If you like parched corn, get ready!! Save the old maids. You can re-pop them. Expect some to pop fluffy, some to 1/2 pop, and some to just split. Watch carefully not to burn them, but the split-only kernels will go almost black and only split. They not only pack a punch, but they export it as well. OMG. They can be soft enough to easily chew (along with the other re-pops) and the second heating with all the starch confined inside the shell has even more concentrated flavors. (In all practicality is should tell you not to eat any mold if you see any.)FIRST REVIEW: I have been searching for this product for YEARS. (It used to be available in 50 pound bags.) The kernels are very small and off-white. The "germ" (nutritious part) is quite large. While popcorn lovers seem to really like that salty & buttery flavor, this popcorn also has enough flavor of its own to taste through all that salt and oil. WOW. Like the package says, it packs a punch. One of my bags was flirting with being just a tiny bit musty. I think it was a fluke. I happily ate it anyway and I still healthy and now very happy. The rest of my 1st review was geared toward the manufacturer.

Tiny Corn, Great Big Taste!
I ordered this product to get away from the microwave junk loaded with chemicals. It's AWESOME!! We use this in a hot air popper and it tastes absolutely amazing! The only problem we seem to have is maybe the popper we use may not the best suited for this tiny kernel as they pop out of the popper and into the bowl before they are popped! So with some alternate handling methods we get them to stay in. But that is not necessarily the popcorns fault rather likely it's the popper. Just so you will know the popper we have is a stand up with a clear top where the popped kernels fall out of one opening to the side into a bowl. Overall, I review this popcorn with a 5 star because it is GMO free and organic! Thank you so much for providing a healthy snack for a mom of 5!

More fiber, more flavor, more better. :)
I really like this popcorn. Like other kinds of popcorn you will have unpopped kernels, it's pretty much unavoidable, but if popped perfectly you will have very few. I do this popcorn on my stovetop and often add sugar to make a type of kettle corn, equal portions sugar and unpopped kernels. Popping about 1/4 cup at a time seems to work best, but it is very sensitive to using the right temperature. This popcorn should be somewhat healthier than other popcorns due to the fact that the kernels are smaller and so you get more bran and germ per cup than average popcorn, rather than just a giant wad of pure starch like movie popcorn. I don't find tiny but might gets stuck in my teeth too much compared to traditional popcorn. If you want to go "paleo" this is an excellent popcorn to use. :)

but if you like this type of small kernel popcorn already
In the past I would just order directly from Tiny But Mighty, but I understand they have to do all the mailing themselves and it can get pricey when it comes to shipping directly from them. Yes, 6-bags is a lot of popcorn, but if you like this type of small kernel popcorn already, its a no-brainer. I think when it comes to popcorn, its a personal opinion - as you can't really say one kind is better than the other. I would agree that its true that the kernels won't get stuck in your teeth, and the flavor is definitely stronger - some even say its somewhat sweeter than normal popping corn. Everyone who has tried this when they stay for a movie night all love it. But if you haven't tried it, I'd probably stick to purchasing one or two bags directly from Tiny but Mighty or even just a bag of already popped.

Smaller, Great Tasting & leaves you with a Comfortable Full
I received my popcorn about a week ago and have been enjoying it since then. I ordered six bags. These bags are fairly small, but if you're anything like me and go through at least a 1/3 of unpopped popcorn a day, six bags is just the right amount. Upon opening the bag, I noticed right away that the kernels were significantly smaller, even more natural looking. They are a dark carmel color, versus larger popping corn which is more of an orange to pumpkin color & they are little fat round kernels. In my house we always stove top pop corn with just a few tablespoons of oil. So initially, I place the oil and a few kernels to get me started. Once those pop I know my pan & oil is hot enough to pop the rest. My first impression of the popped kernels is that they are about half the size of other popcorn. So I proceed to pop my regular 1/3 cup. When done, it seems as if I have about 2/3 less than normal, but I remind myself that these kernals are just smaller & that I must still have the same amount. So I pour them onto the pan and salt the bowl. They taste amazing! I would say they have a very fresh taste, almost a little earthiness to it. It tastes really good and I'm very pleased. Several claims have been made that because these kernels are smaller, they don't stick in the teeth. I would say that is partially true. You're still eating popcorn, so you're still going to have a bit of that 'stick in your teeth' thing, but for the most part, it is much easier to consume them because of their size. Also, I don't know how Mich I can speak to the claim that these are easier for the body to digest, but I can say that after eating this popcorn for just over a week, you don't leave feeling like there's a brick in your stomach. I wanted to list the fiber content for this brand vs the larger brand: this smaller brand: fiber 4g in every 2 tablespoons & larger brand: 6g in every 3 tablespoons. To summarize, this smaller brand of kernels tastes amazing! You feel much better after eating these & purchasing the six bags may seem like too much on paper, but in practicality it's just the right amount.
