Ice Scoop
The scoop is fine except that washing it in the dishwasher discolors it. It is still functional, just not bright and shiny any more.

Ruins in Dishwasher
I don't like to wash anything by hand. I ran this scoop through the dishwasher when I got it and it was completely ruined with disgusting metal dust all over it that rubs off on everything. I threw it away. If you wash it by hand or never wash it, you may be fine but I would never do that.

Don't buy; potential toxic metals
After a short time it oxidized and gray (oxidized metallic) particles that resemble lead are smearing on the frozen fruits that I scoop out of the container.
