Kenwood Kfc-1693Ps 6.5-Inch Performance Series Speaker System

My Drivers Side factory Door speaker in my 2002 Chevy avalanche was blown(sounded all scratchy). So i purchased these Kenwood kfc-1693ps 6 1/2 speakers and installed them in all four of the doors. These things sound great the have great bass and very clear treble i am so happy with this purchase kenwood has always been a very good product. These speakers are a very high quality great sounding speaker at a very good price, They also come with everything you need to install them Speaker wire with connectors, mounting screws with clips and even has a template on the box to use if you need to cut holes or make any mounting panels.Very happy.

I swapped out my original speakers in my Chevy Avalanche for these speakers and man oh man, the improvement was tremendous. These speakers are inexpensive but they made a very expensive sounding difference in my vehicle. I did not have to drill or anything.....just take out old ones and screw these ones in. Perfect fit....perfect sound. A little light on the Bass but i was gonna purchase two twelve inches subwoofer for under the back seat in short order anyway. Almost don t need them., I endorse and approve these inexpensive.......not cheap......speakers.

I got these speakers because I was given a gift certificate to overstock.com and they had the 6x9 counterpart to it for a good price so I bought these to match. For $50 I felt that they were worth the gamble and I can install them myself so I wouldn't have to pay for install either. I have had "systems" in various cars of mine and always went the Pioneer route but these speakers sound very good especially when compared to the past speakers I've had. The cone is made of a very quality material and the tweeters are solid, protected and don't stick too far out. The low end is the speakers is better then I expected but I did buy them for the low end because I have subwoofers in my car but before I hooked up the subs I did listen and they do still have solid low end but I wouldn't get any speakers expecting them to "bump," you need subs for that. I am a musician, producer and I own a recording studio and I bought these to give me an good listening environment for my final mixes and so far is does just that. I won't give these 5 stars and I would have only given them 3 1/2 but thats based only because these are $50 speakers they sound very good but how can you compare them to ones $150 and up. Outstanding value, good sound.

Terrible. If you put a tiny bit of bass to these speakers they sound blown. Waisted money. You get what you pay for.

These are some smooth sounding speakers! I swapped the factory clarions in the front doors of my nissan sunny/almera as we call them in Trinidad and the first thing i noticed before installing them was that the size of the magnet in the factory was like half to a third that of the kenwood. The speakers don't even clip at the max level of my kenwood deck. So i would recommend it to those like myself who don't wanna attract the bandits or drain the normal alternator/battery, yet, get more performance and smooth sounding music. By the way i still have to install the second pair i just ordered in the back dash and from there i will see if i need one subwoofer!!! Anyone got any suggestions???

Magnets are thin base is weak. May be O.K. with a subwolfer to supplement. I took them out after a week and replaced them with Pioneers

i replaced factory speakers on vw jetta 2013.. not what i expected. but ok for the price!they sound like cheap pc speakers u know... i dont expect to have great bass but they do nice tweeting.i really expected more on a "performance series".. i did try to set up my eq on my new pioneer stereo but.. the best sound to get is on flat setting. =/so, i dislike flat music and this pair of speakers
