Works so well I don't have to use it any more
When my Basset Hound was adopted at 1yr she barked with wild abandon. We used the collar for times when we were not home and she quickly learned that the smell was nasty. After a few weeks we stopped using the collar. For the next TWELVE YEARS she was a minimal barker until we moved into a new house this summer. As a geriatric, she tends to have incontinence issues. At 4:30am she would pee then bark to demand we come clean it up, alerting the whole neighborhood. We tried to use the old bark collar but it would not function, so we bought this new one. We used it TWO DAYS and the barking stopped, so we stopped using the collar. She still has early morning incontinence issues but doesn't bark to alert us to it. Not only did the collar work as designed (sprays when the dog barks - pretty simple), but it also psychologically worked on the dog as a training tool.

actually i LOVE IT! IT really works
actually i LOVE IT! IT really works, but the snap on the collar is NOT designed to hold the weight of the citronella unit that spays. On a frisky doggy lie mine it kept un doing until with the dog walker,it came off unaware and now lost.I want to buy another it worked so well, but for the price I shouldn't have to think of securing it spit won't fall off

I'd actually tried a shock-collar some years back with pretty poor results - our dog is a pit bull
I ordered this collar a few weeks ago after a neighbor complained about our dog barking while we were at work during the day. So far so good--it DEFINITELY deters her from barking. I'd actually tried a shock-collar some years back with pretty poor results - our dog is a pit bull, and I think her high pain tolerance kept her from being more than slightly bothered by the electric "corrections". But a burst of citronella in her nose sure gets her attention! My only complaint is that occasionally it will go off when my poor pooch hasn't barked, and she'll get sprayed in the face for no reason! But I'm hopeful that after a few weeks she'll get the idea and won't have to wear it any more (or we can leave it on her but just turn it off).

Doesn't last
It worked at the start and then it quickly stopped working. It no longer sprays even after refilling the citronella.

Stubborn Old Dog
I have a 12hr old, 100lb lab/dalmatian mixed that had surgery a yr ago. Normally, he's an outside dog. Had always slept outside but because of the surgery, we brought him in to sleep. After 2 months of care and healing, it was time for him to go back outside for his normal routine.Well, he didn't like going back outside and began to bark to come in. Everytime it became dark, he started barking, non stop. Since I work graveyard, my wife couldn't handle the bark and let him in. Got him accustomed. It was when I was at home, on my days off, when I realized how much he barked. Non stop till someone let him in the house. I became so frustrated that I looked into getting the e-collar for him. My wife talked me into getting this collar instead.I placed the collar on him and followed the directions. At first, he was like "what the hell is this" and stopped him for a few minutes each night. Then, he got used it and didn't care about getting sprayed. Used about 2 bottles on him. Each bottle was anywhere between $10-$15 each. The collar worked fine and did what it was suppose to do but it didn't take with my dog.As much as I was hated at home, I had to get an e-collar for him. Sure it was a painful learning experience for him but it was either that or pepper spray.Needless to say, dog doesn't bark anymore and me and my neighbors can sleep now. I hope this collar works better for the rest of you because it sure didn't work for this stubborn old dog.

It works!
I have a Yorkshire terrier and since we've moved to a neighborhood with a lot more noise of other dogs barking, she began barking too often for one's sanity. I wanted to find a humane way to help her to not bark. I'm so glad I found this collar because it actually works! It was so easy to adjust to her neck size and it's super easy to refill the citronella on the collar as well. When she barks it immediately sprays and she HATES it so she stops instantly. The barking went from being almost constant to happening only 5 times a day maximum. I HIGHLY recommend this collar instead of the inhumane shock collars.

Junk, junk, junk
This collar is junk. It is so bulky & badly designed that it doesn't sit itself properly on my dog's neck & keeps flipping around so it sprays into her neck and not towards her nose. Complete junk, a waste of money. I am trying to return it to Amazon, but have had no luck so far, which makes me even more upset. Junk, junk, junk.

works but need a smaller sized unit for smaller dogs
We have a 7 lb Maltese who barks quite alot. We've tried shaking stones in a can, spraying water in his face, smacking newspaper on a hard surface....none worked! This collar does work. He doesnt' like the smell of the citronella or being sprayed. But the unit on the collar is large for these smaller dogs. I wish the company wold develop a smaller sized unit for smaller dogs.
