Has a very mid century/industrial feel to it. Color of wood is a nice medium tone. Seems sturdy enough, shelves are not solid thickness, so I don't know how much weight it would take. Makes for an awesome room divider.

The wood was cracked and very flimsy! Not happy!

Assembly: It is very easy to assemble and disassemble and once the back cross bars are in place, it is sturdy. Make sure to include the center screw with the nut to secure the two cross bars together where the bars intersect - this part was left out of the instructions.Quality: I was not impressed with the quality of this piece. The wood is pine however if feels a bit unfinished and should be sealed or sanded with a finer grit prior to the stain the manufacturer applies. The stain color is a bit lighter and more cherry colored than pictured so keep that in mind. The metal needs to be wiped down to remove small shavings and dust but otherwise seemed okay.I ended up returning this item because the color did not work for my house and I felt it made the wood look cheap... may look good in a place that has a more industrial trendy style. the box it comes in is heavy and despite the fragile and heavy stickers on the box, mine came very beat up.

I bought these shelves after my Wayfair shelves never arrived. They're almost identical but these are longer and they were HALF the price! I wasn't sure what to expect for the price but they are gorgeous, well made and they were easy to put together. I HIGHLY recommend these! I looked at furniture stores and all over online for a month and these were the best in quality and cost by far.

i bought 5 of these bookshelves last may. i initially noticed a small crack the second month i got them and thought no big deal i'll just soak all 20 shelves in linseed oil. HaHa, i thought wrong. as of december 4 out of 5 of the bookshelves have 1/8 wide cracks running along the entire 61" length of the majority of the shelves. all i could imagine is the manufacturer used green, non-cured wood (big no no). so here i am out of the return windows gluing my shelving units back together, filling them with wood putty, sanding and staining... fun .-.

I had searched online for a stand that offered a lot of space between shelves. With nearly a foot and a half of shelf space, this stand had potential. The issue really is the sturdiness of the shelf. It is quite wobbly unfortunately. It also arrived with many dents on the shelves. It should have been packaged with thicker styrofoam. In addition, the delivery driver left the box art my garage verses under my covered porch.
