Well worth buying this. Save $100's of dollars in the long run. Don't buy re manufactured.
I spent approximately $700 redoing my complete A/C system on my 1998 suburban. I bought a re manufactured compressor from a very popular auction site. After completing the whole entire system with countless hours I had the system flushed and filled. Within the first few minutes of running it the pump sounded terrible. I had the Freon pulled out and I got a replacement pump from the company. After a week of regular driving the pump imploded and filled my entire system with aluminum fragments. I had to pull out and replace the entire a/c system again. However this time I did it with A/C delco and Delphi parts. It did cost a little bit more, but it's well worth it. It works flawless and I'll have years and years of a perfect running A/C. Definately spend the money and buy this pump. It's the heart of the system and it may cost a little more up front but in the long run I could have saved $100's of dollars and probably 12 hours of labor.

I am pleased with this compressor
The media could not be loaded. I read a lot of reviews on this compressor for my 1997 Chevrolet pickup and was concerned with the running clearance of the pulley and the noise of the unit. I got a good one, because I had no issues. It sounds and runs great. I attached a video for you to hear it. I hope it helps!

So far, so good
This is the fit for a 97 Chevy Blazer (and many other models). First I will say do not listen to the instructions to rotate it several times by hand unless you have it installed in the system and all hoses connected but do not yet have the serpentine belt on it. That is, fully installed minus the serpentine belt. If you try this by hand with the cap on it, then duh, it will try and pump in one side and pump out the other. Thus you will make a mess and need more oil. Other than that caveat, you are good to go with this. It came with two different types of seals, make sure you use the right ones. One last note, the block that holds the two lines into the pump is only very lightly tightened (more of a snug) or you will crack it smooth in half. You've been warned.

Cold air......nice!
Rebuilt air in my 1997 Chevy Tahoe 5.7. I bought this truck used in 2012 but the air wasn't working. After suffering several summers I decided to tackle rebuilding the AC. Studied some basic refrigeration principles and watched a bunch of youtube videos. I replaced the condenser, orifice tube, accumulator and compressor. Evacuated, then charged the system.....voila! ice cold air. This was in June of 2017. I like reporting on automotive components after some time has passed which is the better test of a reliable part and successful install. Unit is a bit noisy......I couldn't care less.

Quality compressor
Came in original packaging. Came with 2 sets of sealing washers for lines. Has 2 oz of oil pre filled. Worked perfectly for my 8.1l workhorse platform. Great price compared to other vendors.

Direct fit, works perfect with nice lower pressures.
Worked great?Easy install, fit perfect.Remember to check your bracket it fits on to see that the compressor lays on flatly it with no movement before TORQUING the attachment bolts. These brackets have been known to be warped or not flat and this will tweak the compressor causing it to leak badly. So will not slowly torquing up the attachment bolts.

Check it before you install it!
The media could not be loaded. Well, it works great when the clutch is engaged. Air is nice and cold, no leaks, and it's quiet. However, when the clutch is not engaged it sounds horrible. It's not fully disengaging.I waited far too long to install it (other problems with the truck) so I cannot return it. I don't know if you will be able to see it in the video, but you should be able to hear it. Check it before you install it!
