You can't beat this deal
Speedtalk is perfect for seniors who use a phone for talking (and for the gifted, maybe a text or two). I am in my eighties and have no use for Facebook, TikTok, etc. I only use this phone when I leave home in case I need help. You get 100 minutes of talk a month for only $5. I found the phone very easy to activate. I did buy a very good phone. A Moto 5G (unlocked), which is a great phone. I don’t see how you can beat this deal. Thank you SPEEDTALK!!

AVOID SPEEDTALK! THEY WANT TOO MUCH PERSONAL INFO!
This card is very difficult to activate online. I don't know about calling it in but going through the activation process online was an arduous, glitchy task and the SpeedTalk Store website was not very clear, with additional and often convoluted instructions popping up over top of the forms you are attempting to fill out. No exaggeration, it took me FIVE ATTEMPTS before all my information got processed. If it wasn't one thing it was another, including having to have a PIN password sent to my email 3x, and having to input the amazon transation number as proof(??) I was the purchaser! WHY? The process froze several times and when I backed up a screen to fix my input, all the previous information disappeared and I had to input every single field all over again. On top of that they want your life story and practically a DNA sample all just to start up a 1 month no contract quickie account. If you're not paying close attention, when you finally click the final OK, there's a box checked that says yes you want to autopay each month. I was so flustered by the time I got to that point (over an hour of wrestling with what should have been a QUICK, SIMPLE FORM) I hit OK before I realized it. I will probably use this phone for more than a month, but I really despise autopay and now I have to figure out how to turn it off. This is just for a secondary, temporary back-up phone for travel and I don't plan on using it very long. And now I have the added hassle of figuring out how to terminate autopay instead of just not paying for it anymore when I'm done with it. The random phone number that it gave me came with a lot of "baggage." First of all it still has the previous owner's identity attached to it, and I'm getting texts and calls on it from the moment I got it for this other person. Secondly it must already be on a ton of spam lists because I get texts and calls all day long for salons, car warranties, credit card debt relief, etc. which is ANNOYING AF. No exaggeration, I'm blacklisting 5-6 numbers a day. I have gotten T-Mobile no-contract new phone activation & service sim cards for $5-$10 before from other companies, and I never had this much spam garbage with the "new" number before. Nor have I ever gotten a "new" number with the previous user's personal information still attached to it. I'm sure the previous user would love to know that I know their full name and street address. This company is super shady and now they have all my personal info and credit card information, my email, and my amazon purchase info, and they have burdened me with a phone number that is basically a vehicle to incessantly advertise a ton of junk. Nor is this a "fresh" number. In fact I got this cheap phone and new number specifically to communicate ONLY with my husband, and yet it's ringing constantly throughout the day but it's not him. This company is NOT WORTH IT. You're paying $5 to be on a spam list and give them all your personal info. I never had to activate a phone card with a PIN through my email or the transaction number from amazon before! The T-Mobile service is fine, but AVOID SPEEDTALK and get it through another company! Oh yes I forgot to mention that this company offers you one month free if you give them a 5 star review on amazon, take a screenshot of it and send it to them. LOL!! I wonder why they have to try to BUY good reviews?! I don't need your $5, SPEEDTALK. Here's your 1 star review, though. It's actually zero stars if I could rate it that low.

Perfect Budget Option For a Kid's Phone
This is the second SpeedTalk SIM card we have ordered. We have been very happy with both! -I love, love, love that the card comes with an adjustable SIM card for size. We have some very old phones that take the old fashioned giant SIMS and some new phones that use micros and nanos. These chips will fit them all! I will say, the fit is much better if you choose the correct size the first time, but we have switched the cards between sizes successfully (I wouldn't recommend it). -The service gets comparable coverage and signal to my own TMobile phone. My son happily texts his friends and I can reach him whenever I need to. -The price can't be beat. We pay $5 per month to have cell phone service for my son's phone that is used only in emergencies and for communication when we are apart. -The only times we have had problems with service had to do with the device *not* the SIM card or SpeedTalk service. It took me a long, long time to figure this out. We tried several brands of GPS phone tracking watches for our sons in order to be able to communicate with them and see their location on overnights, camping trips, etc but we didn't want them to have internet and couldn't afford an expensive watch. We have yet to find a satisfactory GPS tracking phone that does not lose signal/offer unreliable connection. *This SIM and Cell service works perfectly when we changed the SIM from the poorly made GPS watches into a different device. The phone/device calls and text with no problems whatsoever. -The service is very reliable. We set up an overage account so that if my son spends his minutes, he won't be without service in case of an emergency, but they have many cheap options for plans from $5, $9, $15 and up. We chose to just pay for overages since he doesn't have access to his phone unless we are apart. -At times, it takes it just a few seconds to connect when placing a phone call, but not long -literally seconds. At times, my TMobile signal is poor at home, so this service is at least as reliable. I have yet to miss a call or text through SpeedTalk, where I do get dopped calls with my regular TMobile service and messages either are dropped or come through weeks later on my prepaid TMobile service. - I was very happy to see that despite the low price, SpeedTalk is supporting 2G - 4G. Our previous devices were 2G, but we are moving to 4G due to the phase-out.

Perfect for an emergency brick phone or other activities!
Grab a cheap 5 or 10 dollar non-smart phone (yes, they still have them. BLU makes a couple), and for 5$ a month you can keep it stashed for emergencies. The ease with which you can activate it without using any personal info (not real info, anyway - pro tip use a prepaid debit/Visa gift card paid in cash) makes it also great for those times when you just need a phone to do stuff you don't want to use your phone for. Get a number from any zip code. Only con is that service isn't the best outside of city limits areas if you use cheaper phones due to smaller/inferior internal antenna. It'll work where you need it to though. Just get a nicer button phone if you're worried about that, the tiny featherweight BLU ones are on the weaker side once you get farther outside cities. It should be noted that these aren't for data. Yeah you get 100mb but see how far that gets you on today's internet. This is not a service for using the internet or really even a smartphone. Its utilitarian, not a deal or a discount alternative to tracphone etc. Also, this is the exact same product as a couple other 5$ speedtalk listing with different images. Don't bother with the 1$ starter kit, you're just going pay 6 bucks for this essentially. You can do your thing shawty, its ok to floss But there still one rule player - don't get caught.
