Very clear explanation of an advanced organometallic chemistry. There are many new citations and schemes. In addition, almost each reaction is written with mechanism! Very good price. Its hardcover, but the book is not so heavy like other hard cover books, so you can read it in a bed.

This book is good for ones who want to learn an advanced organotransition metal. It contains many useful examples.

Hegedus has blended theory perfectly with synthetic utility of transition metals. The second addition has a lot more updated, state-of-art examples in synthesis.

Although very similar in organisation to the classical Collmann-Hegedus book on Organometallic Chemistry, this book is interesting in that it collects recent examples of organic stnthesis that take advantage from organotransition compounds.

Very good textbook! Not too much theory. Practical and useful for OChem

有機金属化合物を用いて有機合成を行いたい実験化学者には必須の書籍のひとつである。有機金属化合物を有機化学の面から捉えているため、即実験化学者に役立つ。著者は毎年、遷移金属を用いた有機合成に関するレビューを掲載しているだけのことはあり（ここ数年はこのレビューは別の研究者が引き継いだ）、役立つ触媒反応の例が満載されている。英文も簡潔なので、読みやすいが、手っ取り早く読破したければ、村井先生訳の日本語版も出ているので、そちらも利用できる。より反応機構を詳しく記したものとしては、Ｈｅｇｅｄｕｓとコールマンとの共著の前作を見るとよい。ただし、有機合成の観点からは少し離れ、有機金属の面が強くなる。

パラジウム触媒を用いた反応を中心に、非常に分かりやすく書かれている。また英文も読みやすく、合成屋が有機金属化学を学ぶ上で必要不可欠なテキストだと思う。　訳本もありますが、ぜひ原著を!!
