FAST! - clear - user-friendly - perfect for an old-timer with minimal computer needs.
Had to upgrade to Windows 11 and this laptop has all the features (plus many more) as my 10-year-old Dell Inspiron 3520, so it should work out fine. My only problem has been getting Microsoft to recognize my new email address and sync with my cellphone, but that's a separate issue. The laptop is a 'beaut'...so much faster and clearer than Windows 10, and a lot more user friendly. I was surprised to find that it doesn't have a removable battery (that's how old-school I am.) If this holds up as well as the 3520 I'll be very happy.

Amazing Laptop
This is my second Dell. I bought the other four years ago, and it survived a lot of abuse. I even spilled water on the keyboard of the last one, and it never stopped. I have never had problems with this Dell or the last. The only reason I had to buy a replacement is that the last one got knocked off of the table and the place where you plug it in was damaged. Yet, we kept rigging it up and it worked for months. I finally decided to get a new one when it became to difficult to keep charged due to the damage. The sound quality is amazing and so are the visuals. It is lightweight, so it is easy to carry around in a laptop bag. Finally, it is easy to setup and use. I am a loyal Dell customer now. The price is very reasonable, so get yours now. You won't regret it!

Great laptop
This laptop is absolutley perfect for my needs. The i-5 processor is fast enough. It has a good amout of memoy and sizeable hard drive. Dell did a good job on this not loading any third party junk on it. It does come with McAffee which is not junk, but still, Windows own anti-virus is just as good. If there is one thing I would wish it had, was a 1920x1200 disply resolution istead of 1920x1080, but not a deal breaker. For the cost, this laptop is way more than you could bargain for.

A decent basic computer.
Solid, basic computer. Setup was quick, it's not a powerhouse, but at this price point, you can't expect that. Please note, the fans are a bit loud when it gets going.

Solid performance and ease of use
Got this for my mom (a senior) as a replacement for her ancient laptop. Fast, easy for her to use, and features were as-advertised. No complaints!

Beware-Windows 11 adds a 48 digit Bitlocker encryption key during set-up
It seems nothing is simple. Previous laptops were easy to set up. This one took about 40 minutes to install updates and Windows 11 added a Bitlocker security key in the process. So, after getting everything set up, I shut down. When I tried to get back on later I was met with a hard stop demanding I type in a 48 digit bitlocker security key. I had to get on another device to find the key. I typed it in and was told there was a problem and the solution was to uninstall everything it had done earlier, and start over. 45 minutes later I was able to add apps and set things up again.I learned this is common on Windows 11 devices now. BEFORE YOU SIGN OFF the first time, go to settings and find your bitlocker encryption key. While there, you may want to consider turning it off. If I get a repeat of that crap next time I sign on, I will return the computer.
