Thinking about getting these just wondering are they better than the pioneer andrew jones sp-fs52

I don’t know a whole lot about speakers. I will tell you that I own these towers, I have to whole 7.1 svs setup in my theater and from sampling many speakers or a much higher price point. These are by far the best bang for your buck. I would recommend a receiver with about 110 output. I have a Denon AVR-X2500H powering them and I believe it is only a 95 watt output. I have to have it pretty high to listen a better levels. The svs speakers efficiency is a small downfall and another reason why the volume has to be cranked a bit more.

How do these speakers sound with using a turntable/listening to vinyl?

I can't tell you about vinyl but cd's and mp3's sound great.

Has anyone compared these to the elac towers ?

I listened to the Elac Towers at my local big box retailer and found the SVS Prime's to more crisp on the high end. The mids and lows are very similar. It was a tough call but I went with the SVS in the end and are very satisfied with them. However, I think the Elac's would have been a good buy as well.

Will My Adcom gfa555 250 watts per channel be too much for these( also running a coda continuum time window preamp with no tone controls. ?
