can you say the right tools for the job this is a perfect design to see brake ware indicator and not be bs at the dealership for a break job. Red is bad green is very good and yellow is fine to good besides the master cylinder level is another sign of ware the pads are going down; you do not add brake fluid to it.

I bought this pad thickness measuring tool so that I could verify whether my mechanic was being honest about how much life was left in my brake pads. If you are somewhat handy with cars, this is a great (and inexpensive) tool to have to monitor your brake pads without having to take it to a mechanic or the dealership.

I love that it’s made of metal

My son in learning to be a mechanic and wanted this to use to measure brake pads when he’s changing winter tires and you can easily get in to measure the pads.
