I ordered these from my doctor and they shipped them to me in 85 degree weather without a cold-pack, and were rancid! Do these ship in a cold-pack?!

Greetings, A couple of things to know: Amazon does not have refrigerated warehouses for supplements. If you buy something with Prime, it will be shipped from one of the warehouses- not directly from the vendor, so take that into account. Regarding the rancid smell: The largest part of the formula is comprised of herbs- which do not go rancid. By weight, the amount of adrenal tissue in each capsule is 0.00881849049 of an ounce, and it has been thoroughly dried before being encapsulated,so take that into account as well. All that said- whatever you feel- go with it. If it does not feel right- send it back. Good luck!

What kind of gelatin is used in the capsuls?

no statement is made on the label about the type of gelatin, so you can assume it to be of bovine origin.we have them ready for prompt shipment fromgrounds for tea

Some people say this increases their cortisol; wouldnt that cause weight gain?

Cortisol will result in weight gain - lots of stress causes cortisol. my dr prescribed this because of my weight gain and cortisol increase. Helps adrenal gland not work so hard to reduce cortisol. But every body is different. Consult your dr.

Would it work better if I took it with food?

To ask the question "would it work better..." implies you're not having the intended results you seek? In other words, what makes you think "it needs to work better"? I would refer to your healthcare professional that advised you to take this as you may need to make adjustments? However, that said, personally, I have been on this product for almost 2.5 years. along with diet and other supplement adjustments. Within the first 6 months my "levels" went from "off the chart" to the normal range, and I take it with food twice a day: 2 in the morning and 2 at lunch. I read the information posted at RLC Labs' website for this product, and there is nothing to indicate you need to take this with food.
