PowerStar Replacement 12v 9.0Ah Replacement Battery for APC RBC38 RBC40 RBC48 RBC51 RBC106 RBC110 RBC124-2Pack

I ordered two of these to replace dead batteries in a Tripp Lite SMART1300LCDT UPS Battery Back Up unit. Replacement was simple; they fit just fine and appear to work very well. The cost of manufacturer batteries was almost the same cost as a new unit. These batteries cost almost 2/3rds less and arrived extremely well packaged, sooner than expected.

Not much to say....size wise perfect, I've used them in a few of my other UPS's, and while they're a pain in the butt to replace, a pair of needle nose pliers and the screwdriver and 20 minutes of time and I'm done. Easier and more cost effective than buying a new unit.

Tripp Lite's OEM batteries were unavailable, so used POWERSTAR Replacement. It fits well and does work, but it was only installed a week ago. The original batteries in the UPS lasted five years.

Easy to install, worked great. When these fail in 5+ years I would be happy to buy another set. EDIT: batteries died after just 2 months and now they don't hold even a small charge.

These batteries are of low quality, I let them charge up and they failed their self test. I tested a few times and they went from failing to the UPS (APC Back UPS BR1500G) powering off mid test. I returned these and bought from another company. The batteries I bought elsewhere worked right away and tested properly confirming that these batteries are poor quality and likely have been sitting for a very long time. I'd avoid these based on this experience.

I've replaced my last several UPS units, but this time I decided to simply replace the battery. It is an easy job, no soldering, but not quite as simple as replacing the battery in a flashlight. Functionally, it has performed well so far, but I can't tell how many years of use I will get out of it.
