Bates- Canvas Drop Cloth - 9x12, Paint Tarp for Painting

I received this yesterday and was very surprised by the quality. I purchased this to cover my outdoor sofa on a covered porch during pollen season. It is well constructed and lightweight. It also has a plastic layer on the underside which I wasn't expecting - so it really provides great protection. Very happy I chose this one!

This is not heavy duty as advertised, but everything else listed in the product information is correct. I am only using this as a painting drop cloth, and it worked very well for me. I don't know that I would ever wash it, so I cannot comment on washability. Because the plastic layer is quite thin and that layer is placed face down leaving the canvas side face up; I made sure that I swept the areas where I was using it so as not to accidently puncture the plastic layer. I used it outside on my front porch with a concrete exposed aggregate finish (smooth stone with no sharp edges); and also inside on over a wood floor and over carpet. It was not slippery on the surfaces I used it on but it might be on some surfaces, so check it out first and maybe use some old smooth materials between the drop cloth and the surface you are protecting.

I don't get the poor reviews. If you want something thicker you will have to pay 2 or 3 times the money. This is exactly as described light weight canvas with a thin waterproof backing. I had to cut some off and it was stronger then I expected. I was surprised how heavy it was. So in closing for the price it is perfect, a light weight canvas of good size that is ax excellent value for money.

Has plastic backing to help protect floors and furniture.

These look great as patio curtains.

Unfortunately, this item did not work for us for the project we were working on as it was thinner than we needed. However, they offer excellent customer service and that speaks volumes.If your project does not need a heavy duty canvas, this should suit your needs very well.

The material is super nice that its A class.

It shows their waterproof but has this very thin layer of plastic on the back that's not even solidly put on the back, what I'm saying as soon as I drag the tarp on the ground it's going to rip that very thin plastic and it will not be waterproof so if you don't drag your tarp around you'll be okay
