The best dish mop - in my opinion
I like this dish mop because I think it’s more environmentally friendly than plastic/silicone options, it’s cotton “tassels” are soft enough to get into the tiniest of places, it’s hygienic when used properly and so easy to clean. I call it a Dolly-mop just because I like the name. To keep it nice always rinse any debris and soap out uni clean water and gently but firmly squeeze the wet out (but don’t pull) then fluff it up by gently tapping it onto your freeehand - that all might sound like a bother but it’s really just a one minute task and it’ll last ages. I don’t think it’s suitable for heavy duty scrubbing of burnt on debris, but excellent for non-stick & crockery etc. I’ve been using mine daily for about three weeks and there’s been no tassels falling out and it’s as white as the day it started. It wouldn’t outlast a plastic/silicone one but I think they’re good value & I won’t be going back to plastics.

Cheap - but do the job well
Edit:I was far too mean with my first assessment. The last 2 of the pack are still going strong after 18 months! They may look cheap and cheerful but they do the job well and are used daily for glass washing and for items that don't need the severity of a brush or scourer.I shall now be happy to buy these again.-----------------------------------------------------------------As mentioned a low ratio of mop to securing staple makes these a poor buy.

Dolly mop
I can’t seem to buy these in a shop and they are so useful. My granddaughter laughed at the old name of Dolly Mop, but that is what we called them. I gave her one and she rang to say how useful it was for skirting boards and her ceiling lamps. They have many uses and wouldn’t be with out them.

Dish Mop
Not jug mop, dish mop. That's how I've always known them. I was brought up with them. Even now, on the odd occasion I've had to do so, I've always hated trying to use a brush or anything else when doing the washing up. I'm used to dish mops...Which are nothing to get excited about. Do you Love the item you use for the washing up? Because that's the official Amazon description of a 5* rating (hover over the stars a moment when selecting your rating for a review if you don't believe me). So a dish mop is never going to get more than 4* from me. There are two minor issues with these. One is the unnecessarily huge staple. I haven't yet bashed or scratched anything with it, but you do look at it & wonder why it had to be so big. The other is that the strands of the head are rather less substantial than I'm used to.Still, I've used it a few times and it does the washing up OK so far. As for the complaint of a new mop losing strands, every new dish mop I've had loses a few looser strands over the course of the first few uses. I wouldn't worry about it. They're OK, and at £7 for 6 (at the time of writing), reasonably good value.

Very poor quality and not as per the photo
These mops are not the same as the ones shown in the product photo. The cotton strands are stuck to the side of the mop via a really low quality staple (as you’ll see in some of the other review photos), rather than being gathered round the top.As such they can’t be used for the purpose they’re intended. The cotton strands were also coming loose so they wouldn’t last two minutes.Overall a waste on money and I will be sending them back. Very disappointing.

Dish mops
The string pieces of the mop are stapled near the end of the mop so there is just wood at the very end but glad I could get them at all as I couldn't find them in any shop
