Reliable and no noise.
This has none of the noise problems inherent with switching power supplies. It provides the power, it's regulated, and self protected.

It runs better with the right power.
In the past I had no problem with using an RS-25 Astron Power supply. Then when I updated my unit to a newer model I noticed that there’s a performance difference between the older and newer. The power supply size was not adequate. So I look around and I see that the normal power supply being used today is the RS-35A power supply. I bought the new RS-35A and what a difference in quality for my new model. No complaints about this. Better no dimming value for the money.

Excellent Low RFI Linear Power Supply
This Astron 35A linear type power supply is about the best power supply available for general, ham radio, 100 Watt transceiver use. In the past few years I have had two of the $100+ Chinese switcher type supplies die on me. Luckily without destroying my $4K+ radio equipment. I figured that I would just cut my losses and go with proven design, low RFI, American made, repairable if needed. This came as pictured (without the 'do not turn off' tag :)). Rock solid, heavy, bulky, I love it. I was planning to open mine up and adjust the voltage to 14.0 Volts, it came already set at 14 Volts. :)Decades ago I built up linear mode power supplies for use on military projects. This came with a schematic and I was happy to see that design wise, nothing has changed much other than the components. A good case of 'If is isn't broke do not fix it'. The Chinese, low cost, switching power supplies are all over the board on reliability and specs and designs. My own opinion. Enjoy de K6WGX, 73

Hands down the best
Been using Astrons for 20 years. Always the best PS available. Nothing comes close. If you haven’t try one, you won’t be disappointed.

Exactly what I ordered. Beefy
Works well to specifications. A great Non Switching Power Supply for 13.8 Volts up to 25amps. My SDR sees no noise from this unit Linear Power Supply. The Weight can be attributed to it's beefy Transformer.There is no drop in voltage when I press the Transmit button on my 50 watt UHF transmitter.

Powerpole model. Very happy.
Shipped quickly. Very pleased it was the newer model with the powerpole connectors on front. Big win form me.

Sturdy workhorse does the job
After previous RS-35A was one of the victims of a lightning strike at home, I picked up this one as the unit is solid and I have never had issues.
