Our grandson's teacher sent a list of things that he "needed" for first grade. I asked for the list to help buy supplies since it was 2 pages long. I am in excess of 60 years old so when we went to school you got what you got. I never really knew - or thought about - there being "brands" of pencils. When these were delivered I understood why she requested this brand. The pencil point (lead) lasts a long time and gets very sharp. Teacher requested pre-sharpened ones and they were sharpened to perfection. The wood is pretty hard too. They's very reasonably priced for such great pencils. Erasers are great and must be tasty because he keeps chewing them off.
