Worked Flawlessly...
Plugged everything in, monitors were all recognized as they were supposed to be. No issues with this device at all. Configuring everything to get it to work as I wanted was not super difficult. It was new to me so it took a little time and patience. Would recommend this hardware. It is important to verify that your video card can support multiple monitors. I used on my Asus A706IU gaming laptop.

Does exactly what it needs to do but with some quirks
I used this for a Surface Book 2 and a Thinkpad X1 laptop to two 2k external monitors at 60hz each. This adapter is easy to use just plug and play. There is an issue and I'm not sure if its by design or just an incompatibility issue. If you put your laptop to sleep only one of the two monitors will actually turn off (or go into sleep mode). The other monitor will have a blank screen, but you can clearly see the backlight of the monitor still on. So it does not actually go to sleep. This is an issue as monitor backlights has a limited operating hours (usually 50k -60k hours ~ 5 years). To ensure the monitor actually turns off you'll need to turn off (shutdown) your laptop. Other than this issue, it's a great adapter.

Decent adapter — would recommend for most PCs made in the last 2-3 years
It worked as it should have. I have to return because of some hardware issues on the PC I didn’t know about that can support the product but don’t do exactly what I need them to.

DO NOT BUY Any StarTech adapter if you want to get consistent support
The product does not support single 4K 60Hz monitor with M1-based Macs.At a time I bought the product I was aware of not supporting multiple monitors but I purchased this one anyway because they told me that it would work with single monitor. However, it does not work with M1 Macs, and I told them about it, and they told me that they won't going to fix it because the adapter does not support macOS at all.I've used this product with Intel Macs without any issues, however, I will not buy products from StarTech's because of their disappointing technical support.

Works perfectly if you don't put your computer to sleep.
There definitely needs to be some type of firmware update to resolve the sleep issue so the monitors are automatically recognized once your computer is awake. Unplugging/Replugging the hub and toggling the monitors off/on eventually gets everything back to normal, but I don't consider this a suitable resolution.

Failed after 1 year
Failed about 1 year, to the day, after plugging it in. One of my monitors went out yesterday, after troubleshooting, the problem was this adapter. Neither input passes video. While I've purchased a half-dozen StarTech products over the past couple of years, this is the only product in regular use. I have no real basis to determine whether this is a fluke or something that is common with the brand. I'm disappointed, primarily, because of the price. At $55 for what I assume is simple electronics, the unit should last well more than a year. This probably won't prevent me from buying a StarTech product in the future, but it wouldn't be my first choice if other known-brand options exist.
