The dispenser is metal. The twist on attachment that you twist over the charger in order to pressurize the canister is plastic with a metal coating.

Q: What is the internal and external diameter of this head? What is the thread pitch employed?

the outer dimension is 2 1/4 inches... if its any help.. I have numerous tops, bought from amazon and they're all great, they fit a few brands of canisters that I have purchased in the past. I can't tell you the thread.. but like I said.. they fit all canisters I have.
