Thank you for your inquiry. Whirlfloc tablets are great for beer kits. You will add one tablet for up to ten gallons during the last ten minutes of the boil.

Q: Useful for "non" boil kits?

These are meant to go into the boil, so they probably won't be useful without one.

Q: can you use it in wine making too?

Not really, It is really for beer. It is concentrated Irish moss. So it will not do what you are looking for really. I would use KC super finings, or Isinglass for wine.Tarn, HBS
