Lotion is nice; pump is useless
Gentle sandalwood scent is pleasant-not overpowering, but it lasts in a subtle way. The lotion moisturizes without feeling greasy. Just one issue: for the price paid, the dang pump top should work—it doesn’t. This means I have to unscrew the top from the lotion bottle and use the delivery tub on the pump to dab/slather the lotion on. Annoying and messy. I reached out to the company after a few unsuccessful attempts to free the pump top from the base to ask for a new pump top [only-not a full replacement]. No one ever responded, hence the mention here and a lower overall rating.

Very moisturizng!
I like this lotion a lot. The fragrance is light and fresh and the lotion is creamy and rich. It keeps the skin soft and fragrant and it feels great going on.

Fruitloops
Based on other reviews, I definitely expected a strong lemongrass smell and a lighter lavender scent. The scent is lemony, but very sweet and NOT the refreshingly astringent, slightly green kind of scent of lemongrass. It's extremely strong at first, overwhelmingly if you want to use more than just a little on your hands. My first reaction was that I smelled like lemonade, which was okay but disappointing; not what I was looking for. However, my husband, out of nowhere, asked "why do you smell like Fruitloops?" Yay. More weird than a compliment, to say the least. The lavender is almost imperceptible until the initial lemon scent has faded after about an hour. The scent, after fading for at least an hour, is actually pretty nice -- definitely there but not annoyingly strong, and definitely a lemon-lavender. Not Fruitloops, not lemonade. BUT, it takes at least an hour to not smell really strongly like sugary cereal and there's still no "green" smell to it, so I'm not thrilled. The quality of the lotion itself is okay if you know what you're getting. It's light and soaks in well, leaving hands feeling smooth and not greasy at all. However, if you're prone to dry hands (or wash your hands a lot, so you're preventing dry hands via lotion), it doesn't help with that much, even if you reapply after the initial bit soaks in. It's juuuust enough to not feel uncomfortable, but not enough to lose that sense of being slightly dry. But, do I have oil marks on my phone from it? No, and I like that. Is it moisturizing enough to live with as a lotion? Eh, just barely. And, I do eventually like the scent. So, I'm still using it... I wish it were better, but it's good enough. However, for $25, I wouldn't personally buy it again.

Totally Awesome Moisturizer!
I have been using Dani's grapefruit ginger body lotion for about 5 years. The 12 oz bottle will last me about 3 months using it 3-4 times a week. The scent is light and does not overpower. To me it seems a sweeter citrus odor vs a sharp/tangy citrus odor. It is a clean and fresh smelling scent. The consistency is rich and it glides on smoothly and evenly. The lotion is not sticky. My clothes are never messy after moisturizing then dressing (but not tried wth silk). This lotion keeps me moisturized all day! I notice when I have not showered the next day, I am not dry. I have had that dry 'alligator' skin on my legs without moisturizing. I was using Keri Lotion with success but the Dani product is less dense, less oily and a lighter scent.Dani lotions were Christmas gifts after receiving compliments from my nieces when they borrowed the lotion. This lotion is a good one!As a side note, I used to buy from the Dani website. Amazon is a few dollars cheaper with the product and I am not paying for shipping. While I like to shop directly, I am saving over $10.00 when buying on Amazon. I have not had a problem with the Dani lotions shipped through Amazon.

I really like how this product feels, smells, and heals my cracked skin. I just wish it were sold in Canada and cost less.
