don't except too much, you're pretty much confined to a room, maybe 30 ft this is really for riding on tracks that you made, or very smooth surfaces like hardwood floors, but never ever carpet.

are the tires rubber or hard plastic?

Yes it has a type of rubber on the wheels not plastic!!

If i get two different cars will the remotes conflict or work only with their car?

Each car has it's own remote. I have not had any trouble from RC
