Expensive, but works
Japanese parts are expensive in general. It works, however I had to purchase a cigarette lighter dual adapter to use with other devices.

Genuine Yaesu Cigarette Lighter 12v with Noise Filter
Recently purchased the Yaesu FT-70DR handheld. Also have an old FT-50R from the early 90's that uses the older ED5 series. This item is the authentic Yaesu in original sealed factory package. It is the replacement model for the older ED5 series. Fits and works with my new FT-70DR & old FT-50R as they use the same plug. Glad that Yaesu has not changed the charging plug as well. Worth the $28 for this item as it is original. Has a replaceable front fuse and the noise filter works with minimizing alternator or other modern car electronics.

Works Great With The FT-60
Bought the SDD-13 in 2015 and have used it to power my FT-60 many, many times in my Jeep. I also use it to power the FT-60 via a GZ Yeti150 and a Celestron 12v portable telescope battery. Charges the radio quickly from any 12v battery. Never gets warm. Convenient in the field.

Cigarette Lighter Cord for Yaesu SDD-13
I have not had the opportunity to use it on my Yaesu FT-60 HT yet as I just received it. I gave it 4 stars and kudos to Amazon for finding the OEM charger. It is not intended to charge the radio's battery it is intended to provide constant 9.5 VDC to the radio while on the road.
