Won’t scratch the inside
I always worry about accidentally scratching the inside of my instrument this has a nice protective velvety coating. Very sturdy too!

It also fits piccolo trumpet
My wife had one for her flute. I checked the fit for my piccolo trumpet and ordered one for my 3 way Hercules stand. Piccolo trumpet, Bb Trumpet and Flugelhorn all close at hand.

This stand, for your C Flute, will fit on the Hercules Alto Flute stand.
I bought this flute stand for my C Flute. I already had a Hercules Alto flute stand, and I wanted a C flute attachment. It screws into one leg of my Alto flute stand, and balances either one or two flutes very well . The Alto flute stand and the additional C Flute stand all fit in the Alto flute stand bag, when the stand is folded up.

It just works - solid soft landing and firm hold for Bb Clarinet.
Fits/screws into the Hercules Sax stand as expected. Using with a Bb Clarinet. For that purpose, it is a solid soft landing (velvet lined) for the bell of the clarinet with a firm hold at that point. The spring-loaded motion capability of the top of the peg (also velvet lined) is for flutes and does not come into play with the clarinet. If you already have the Hercules stand, this is a no-brainer add-on for clarinet,

Very nice stand.
Very nice stand. It's a little bit tough to hit with a flute on a dark stage. The point could stand to be a little smaller. All of my stands are Hercules brand. I've used many others over the years and nothing else measures up.

Fits Sopranino Saxophones!
I know this peg was designed for Clarinets and Flutes, but I bought this for my newly acquired Sopranino Sax to see how it would work. I already own the Alto/Tenor stand with a Soprano peg and thought it would be really nice if I could put all 3 saxophones on one stand.Turns out, the Sopranino DOES fit on this peg. It does wobble a little bit but I have 100% confidence that the Sopranino will not fall off this peg if bumped or moved. Pushing the Sopranino down a bit harder provides an even stronger hold. It will only come off the peg unless deliberately picked up.(This is mostly due to the long spring-loaded portion not being pushed down at all and provides a long enough support to hold it)I'm currently exploring DIY alterations to this peg to make the fit tighter, but right out of the gate, this peg 100% works for Sopranino Saxophones. I know only like 5 people in the world have Sopranino Saxophones, but it's nice to know this peg works for this niche instrument too.(I hope the rare Sopranino Sax player sees this)

NO PROBLEMS
This DS602B threads into my Hercules Saxophone stand easily by hand. It has a nut at the threads to tighten it to the stand with a wrench, but I don't find it necessary. I use it at gigs and add it to the stand when I'm setting up, and remove it when I fold the stand for storage (it doesn't fold up with the stand). I have no complaints with its functionality. Its diameter fits the inside of my flute perfectly and the felt coating is a nice touch. The stand is well constructed, however I haven't determined the reason for the spring action (the upper head pushes downward and returns to its height by an internal spring). If I had to criticize it at all I would say that it is over engineered. A simple felt peg would suffice my need for a flute stand. It is also sold as a stand for other instruments so some of its features may be adapted for those. It is a good tool and I'd purchase it again.
