I wanted something unique and lovely and this was it! The wood is very pretty and well made. I ordered it to be used as a nut dish for my daughter. It's lovely and functional. I also ordered the handmade Swiddles stainless steel beaded spoon to go along with it-also very lovely and they make a great set. I added a variety of nuts and bam! Nice, unique, functional (Christmas) gift for any occasion. I want one!

arrived with insect damage
The wood is gorgeous and the polish nice, except where an insect chewed through the bowl. Don't throw your money away.

Butter dish with "care instructions"
Completely useless. You cant put it in the dishwasher, you cant soak it in water, you must rub oil on it and whisper sweet nothings to it too before it will be a butter dish you can actually use. Plus there is no lid. I'd return the thing but the seller charges half it's price just to ship it back. It's a racket and disappointing. Don't waste your money, choose the other one you're considering.

I just received this beautiful butter dish today, and it is quite outstanding. In fact, its is the prettiest piece of wood I have. The one I received is actually significantly more beautiful and unique than the one pictured on this page.As always, the seller packaged the shipment extremely well and the products arrived in perfect condition. And this shipment arrived more quickly than most of my purchases directly from Amazon (I live in the U. S.)Great products and great shipper. Highly recommend.

This is awesome
The butter stays put on the plate. it is prettier than more traditional glass holders but fits in my fridge just as easily. Washing it by hand it cleaned right up - but went back to the same use.

Olive Wood butter dish

Habe die Butterschale als Geschenk gekauft und bin mit der Verarbeitung sehr zufrieden. Bei dieser Schale sind alle Kanten glatt (was nicht immer so ist bei diesem Naturmaterial) und die Butter paßt perfekt hinein.Bin sehr zufrieden, hätte nicht besser sein können und ist super angekommen bei der Beschenkten.
