Edit: after watching the rest of season 1 we found episode 1 on a different disk. It's there, just not in the correct order.Made my day. Definitely a great show to watch!I started to watch the series online and loved it so much that I decided to get it. The parcel arrived promptly and in good condition. Today I decided to watch the DVD version with my husband and to my surprise we didn't start with the episode that lured me in. I thought we had selected the wrong one but I went through the whole disc and episode 1 (Power) was not there unfortunately. Season 1 starts with episode 2. I hope this is a one time occurrence and I am still gutted it isn't there. It really is an amazing looking box set to have and I know these things can happen. So definitely still worth the money.

Excellent . Huge amount of discs at brilliant price. I love Yannick Bisson and have wanted to get these for ages. Now I will have viewing to last me through the winter months.The 3 tv movies star Peter Outerbridge as Murdoch and Keeley Hawes as Ogden ( from the Durrells ). I started watching these and was slightly confused at first but they are still very good. Peter and Yannick are both canadian and have similar looks. Keeley Hawes is good. 😍 🎅

This show is great for anyone who enjoys a good murder mystery. Set in the 1800s it's extremely enjoyable and addictive. I'm a fan of shows like poirot, murder she wrote and death in paradise so this show is another great one for my collection. If you enjoy mysteries, and heartwarming characters give this a try.

A very inconsistent series. Some episodes are gritty, others fantastical, some realistic, others farcical. Various cameo appearances by "celebrities" of the era - Arthur Conan Doyle, Mark Twain, Winston Churchill, H P Lovecraft and others, some in more than one episode. Murdoch himself I don't think is quite a strong enough character to carry it off; he needs Constable Crabtree and Inspector Brackenreid, who provide good support. The female ever presents are a little bit facile, at least I found them so. But all in all good entertainment, with some of Murdoch's inventions providing a touch of humour - if such is the right word.NOTE:- No subtitles beyond Series 5

This set has the advantage that it includes the complete episodes without any censoring. We have noted that the episodes on Alibi UKtv, at least on Sky, are censored - some of the nuances of the dialogue and scenes are frequently lost.

My wife and I are loving the series of Murdoch, we have nearly finished series four, really like the character's, not to keen on the film special because they have used different actors. Other than that well worth a look in these lock down times

This did not work in the USA. I had to pay $57.58 to return it to England.. This product should not be sold to an American home. it did not play here, and it was very expensive to return. Please do not cause anyone else this problem or expense. I will be wary of ordering from Amazon lest I have trouble again.

Hab mir alle Folgen gekauft, leider fehlt ab Staffel 2 (glaube ich) der englische Untertitel, was einem beim Zuhören einiges an Aufmerksamkeit abverlangt. Manche Schauspieler sprechen so schnell, dass man vieles nicht richtig versteht. Da hilft ein Untertitel ungemein weiter. Trotzdem eine gelungene Serie. Die Geschichte zwischen den beiden Hauptakteuren ist am Anfang sehr spannend, solange sie sich ihrer Zuneigung nicht ganz sicher sind. Als das dann geklärt ist, wird es etwas langweilig zwischen den beiden. Ich warte jetzt noch auf die Zeit, wo sie Eltern werden. Da wird es bestimmt noch spannend.
