5 out of 6 died in less than 9 months.
I bought 6 of these (2 packs) in December of 2019 for my CNC. I need 4 for my CNC, so when 1 was dead on arrival, I didn't worry about it. Within the first week, another one failed. No problem, still had 1 spare to swap it out. Then a month later and another one fails. As it was too late to return them, I just found another brand and bought a couple of replacements. The Uxcell replacement has the same specs and looks very similar, but in hand, it seems to be a higher quality part. It should be since they are 3x the cost. Fast forward to today, and when I went to home my CNC, Z axis crashed because 4th sensor had failed. Luckily I had one more Uxcell spare. Swapped it out, and went to homing cycle again and Y axis crashed. Yep, the 2nd sensor on Y axis had failed. So I jumped on Amazon and ordered 2 more Uxcell sensors to replace the last 2 of these. The 6th one on the x axis hasn't failed yet, but it's only a matter of time. Do yourself a favor and don't waste you time and money on these. 3 for $12 seems like a great deal, but when 5 out of 6 fail within 9 month, these things are just pure garbage.

Works Perfectly as a replacement proximity sensor on my Shapeoko Pro XXL
When the 2nd factory sensor went bad on my Shapeoko Pro CNC machine I decided to see what else was available. I found these NPN NO sensors and they are a PERFECT match! It took me about 10 minutes to connect it to the existing wiring on my Z axis and VOILA! The sensor worked perfectly!

Better than advertised
I purchased this position sensor set for my DIY co2 laser that includes Z axis bed.I was very happy to discover it worked perfectly everytime on 5vdc.It works best with furious metals( steel or iron) but will work with other metals like aluminum.I simply used machine screw head.

Piece of junk. Tried one but it died within three months. Second one lasted 5 months. Also LED's are always on it just gets a little brighter when actuated.

Be aware the indicator LED will NOT respond correctly if input voltage is above NPN pullup voltage
Used this to replace another prox sensor that is in same package but different manufacturer. Although the detection sensor and output work correctly, I noticed that the indicator LED is always on with my setup. I have BRN connected to +24VDC, BLU connected to GND and BLK connected to input pin on Arduino set to input with internal pull-up. Since the Arduio is operating at +5VDC the internal pull-up on the pin is causing the prox sensor indicator LED to always be on, however the NPN output is triggering correctly with prox detection. It will work for me for now but will be looking for one that correctly displays the indicator LED like the existing one I am replacing
