Q: Mine arrived with exactly 16 grub screws and no spares. Aren't these supposed to have a few spare screws? Thanks

Mine didn’t even come with the 16 it’s supposed to be included. However, I work as a forklift mechanic and acquiring odd screws are no big deal for me. If you want to purchase some yourself, the setscrew is an M4 X 0.80 (4mm diameter with a pitch of 0.8mm between threads). 6mm length is perfect.

Q: Does this come with cleats to attach to a shoe, and will it fit a 2 hole shoe?

To make a slight correction to the other answer, these pedals come with SH-56 cleats (not SH-51). At least, that's what the product description says and that's what was included in my Shimano factory box. There's not much difference between SH-51 and SH-56 cleats (56 are slightly easier release for beginners), they're both standard Shimano 2-hole MTB pedal cleats.

Q: are these for road bikes?

They will fit on a road bike. They are designed for riders who split time between casual shoes and cycling shoes with SPD cleats.

There’s actually “Malaysia” printed on the pedal (right under where you should would attach).
