Five star review. Precise machine craftsmanship.
Five star review. Very neat little compass gadjet. It's more of a premium product, precise machine details, heavy duty, works very well, gives accurate compass reading. It's small enough to place on a keychain, almost mini sized but easy to read. Designed well with the colors and gauge readings. Comes in a very nice packaged plastic small box too with extra presents.

Pricy, but appears very well made
I bought this compass to hang on my pocket knife with a plastic quick disconnect link and some paracord. I was impressed with its weight and apparent quality of construction. Despite what some are writing about the included chain being ferrous mine was not. Even wadded into a ball and placed next to the compass the chain did not affect the operation so it's definitely not made of ferrous metal. Regarding what some are saying that the pointer jumps around a lot. The compass (any compass) needs to rest on a solid, flat surface to read correctly. The trick is to slightly tilt the compass to bind up the needle a bit then lay it flat and it will point north in a nanosecond. It's all in the the operation. This seems like a pretty good unit for giving you rough headings. I wouldn't use it to navigate with but just for getting your general bearings it seems to be pretty good.

Sturdy, solid Compass
Really liked the solid look, touch, & feel. Using it in a handle of a walking stick I’m making. Only minor issue for me is that it’s not liquid filled, making it a little “wobbly”, but still aesthetically and functionally accurate enough for my use/application.

THE REAL THING…NOT A TOY… WELL BUILT AND WON’T LET YOU DOWN…
I’ve been carrying one of these on my keychain for a good while. I ensured that the split rings I used were brass (as they could throw off the reading). My son, who is in the National Guard, has one of these on his keyring and his girlfriend was given one by me as a gift from me to welcome her to the family. Make no mistake, this isn’t a toy…but the real thing. I own some of the most expensive and accurate compasses you can buy and I can tell you from personal experience, this one is well built, very accurate and won’t let you down.

Nice item - lost brass backing
Overall a very nice and portable little brass compass. Pretty sensitive to magnets (if it's near your phone, it may affect it determining true north!) but easy to read. Only problem is that the screw-on back easily loosens up through everyday use, to the point of falling off. Every time I noticed the screw back getting loose I would tighten it, but would still somehow get loose - recently found that it must've loosened up and fell off, with no ability to replace it. Currently not sure if it's worth getting a replacement or trying to find a solution to try and keep this one together - unsure what's the most economical given I've gotten just 6 months of use out of it. It may make sense to put this in some sort of case or use tape to make sure the back doesn't get lost (which means the actual compass piece can fall out).
