I don’t see any holes on ours. It’s pretty heavy but it could be used in the bath.

Is this one water-safe, like the shark and the orca are? The description doesn't say like it does on the other aquatic animals.

Well, the one my grandson has, enjoys lots of bath time swims, whether the toy wants to or not and seems fine. If you are concerned, perhaps purchase 2 and keep one one of the set as turf and the other one surf? My grandson has several if these Schleich animals and they have been very durable.
