We love our in-ground pool, but as we've gotten older we realized a handrail would help us enter and exit more safely. We chose this specific product for its shape, the fact that it is deck-mounted (thus not compromising the interior surface of the pool), and for its overall value. I perhaps unfairly gave only 3 stars for "Easy to install" ... but this something best left to a pro. We had the handrail installed as part of an overall refurbishing of our 20-year-old pool. Installation requires a separate set of anchors be set in the concrete pool deck. The pros had the right tools and the expertise to the job correctly. I am 100% satisfied with our new handrail. The cost is very reasonable, the quality is first-rate, and it was delivered in less than a week.

This handrail was exactly what I was hoping for. I would highly recommend it. It is very sturdy. Be sure to order the anchors (sold separately) as it does not come with it if only order the handrail.

The 4 star rating is the average of the 5 stars for the way Amazon handled the installation issues I had and the 3 stars for the product itself. I was encouraged to purchase this handrail by viewing the installation video that is part of the ad for the product. Although I hired a professional contractor (who also watched the video) with the appropriate tools and skills, it took him and his partner 5 hours, a few extra holes that had to be filled, and several broken drilling bits to properly anchor the railing to the pool deck. My cement pool deck is about 20+ years old and has lots of rock chips imbedded in the cement. The railing looks great and seems to be securely attached to the deck, but I suggest getting good help and a price guarantee for the installation! Fortunately, Amazon gave me a price reduction to help cover some of the unexpected installation cost.

If you need easier entry to your pool, consider these handrails. The quality is excellent (stainless steel) and it was easy to install. Only instructions available were the dimensions in Amazon's listing but obvious to follow. Another help was at Lowes which directed me to the right Quickrete bag. One for each footing. I used 2 bags total. Amazon really helped with accesory suggestions, as it showed the right anchors and cover plates. I was quoted over $750 for two rails, but did it myself for less than $250 and 1 weekend of work. Now if only the weather was a bit warmer...

Although I was not able to use these rails I will say they are very well built and are very sturdy. I would recommend them.

Purchased in April 2018 and now finally have time to install. Opened the box and completely rusted. It appears to be stainless but sure is not rust-less. 2 pictures of the new stainless steel rail and a picture of a rail installed 30 years ago and never any maintenance and looks good. Buy another brand this is poor quality product. It has a warranty but same quality as product-no good. No response from company
