Q: By using linotype do you still have to lube the bullets

I'm no professional, but I would suggest always using lube with cast boolits. All your lead really does is allow faster FPS based off of what you are shooting. Linotype is a harder alloy...which allows higher velocities. I would highly recommend using a lube.

Q: Has anyone tried casting .223's with 2000 fps or higher? Any deformation or leading.

Ive shot 70 grain noe bullets cast from water dropped wheel weights to 2400 fps without issues. Linotype would be better than wheelweight metal. Cast on! Fwiw im using a 1:9 5.56 chambered ar15
