Exactly what it says on the tin.
TL;DR: Arrived on time in perfect condition. The shades cut down blazing direct sunshine on cloudless days to comfortable levels, and the almost contour-moulded frame means there're no surprise angles the sun can stab your eyes from.First of all the item arrived in perfect condition, and on the second day of the delivery window, so good stuff there. The shades themselves are exactly what i was looking for, and perhaps even more. I'm fairly light-sensitive to high levels of ambient environmental light (e.g. massive sunlight on a cloudless day to even just very bright light through light overcast clouds) and these shades cut it down to comfortable levels. They even cut it down so much that my phone on 75% brightness but small font can be difficult to read the map route ETA on the eye-level dashboard mounting about 2 feet away. These are *strong* shades, as they should be for Cat IVs.

Great sunglasses
These are a nice very dark pair of shades. I like the style also. Was a good value

Not certain they are Cat 4, but much darker than my go-to pair
Confused be all the 1 star ratings claiming they are no darker than typical dollar store sunglasses. Not certain if they strictly meet "Category 4" specs, but noticeably darker than my daily Sam's pair. Purchased because I have 2 floaters as a result of a posterior vitrious detachment, and the wrap-around design is excellent for blocking light leakage from the sides. Not certain about durability, but comfortable to wear and seem of decent quality.

Not the Darkest Sunglasses.
This product may be 100% UV protection, but in my opinion not Category 4 Darkest Sunglasses. I found them to be slightly darker than my Category 3 sunglasses. As for overall Quality, Fit and Light Weight they are acceptable.

So glad I found these! They really block the intense light and glare from the sun!
These glasses are fantastic in the full blazing sunshine! I was amazed at how well they work. There still is some glare like when the sun glints off a car windshield, but I found that the glare is significantly reduced. No more squinting and no more glare after images, eye strain and headaches! I like these a lot!

"Very Dark" is a joke
I don't get how many of the other reviewers are saying these are darker than other sunglasses -- I have bought pairs for a few bucks from a corner drug store that are darker than these. I would be shocked if these even met category 2 standards, despite the abundant labeling of "category 4" everywhere and the CE mark. Getting lasik my eyes are hypersensitive to light so I went out of my way to find the darkest ones possible but I didn't expect to dump money into a product that fabricates its use case. If these are truly for photophobia, "extreme sun conditions", and "too dark for driving, cycling, or other road use", why am I able to navigate my basement -- with zero lights on -- while wearing these? These are also labeled to block blue light -- funny, I notice everything looks MORE blue while wearing them, i.e. they allow additional blue light to come through. They are tinted. People can't see your face as well as other sunglasses but that does NOT mean it works the other way around. Save yourself thirty bucks and just shop at CVS or Walgreens, honestly, you get better stuff there. And pick something polarized, I have a metal frame polarized pair that is darker than this for less than half the price.

These are NOT CAT4 Sunglasses
There are a few ways to tell if they are, but what I found, for the EU, the Category Listings are -EU RegulationsCategory 0 - 80%-100% transmission - for fashion, indoor use, or cloudy daysCategory 1 - 43%-80% transmission - low sun exposureCategory 2 - 18%-43% transmission - medium sun exposureCategory 3 - 8%-18% transmission - strong brightness, light reflected of water or snowCategory 4 - 3%-8% transmission - intense sunshine for high mountains, glaciers; not for use when driving or on the roadORAU SourceLens category 0: Fashion spectaclesThese are not sunglasses, as they have a very low ability to reduce sun glare. They provide limited UV protection.Lens category 1: Fashion spectaclesLike category 0 lenses, these are not sunglasses; however, they do provide limited sun glare reduction and UV protection. Fashion spectacles with category 1 lenses are not suitable for driving at night.Lens category 2: SunglassesThese sunglasses provide a medium level of sun glare reduction and good UV protection.Lens category 3: SunglassesSimilar to category 2, these sunglasses provide a good level of UV protection. Lens category 3 glasses also provide a high level of sun glare reduction.Lens category 4: SunglassesThese are special-purpose sunglasses that provide a very high level of sun glare reduction and good UV protection. Never wear them while driving. If I am correct, CAT4 should be Dark enough, that when Wearing them even in Daytime, you would not see Traffic Lights correctly, hence the "Do not Wear while Driving" Warning. I have been Driving with these on, and they are only SLIGHTLY darker than my old Wiley-X Smoke Sunglasses.

Help with intense brightness
First of all, the fit of the sunglasses was perfect. Extremely comfortable. I suffer from Photophobia and cannot handle bright sunlight. I have tried numerous sunglasses to ease the situation, and these are the best by far.Thank you for a great product at a reasonable cost. They will make my life much better!
