Any regrets buying this and not the journeyman version?

This is a journeyman 2000 series, look at the model number. The difference between regular lineman and jman lineman is hardened steel and an insulated handle, this has both.

How do you clean the handles properly?

To clean any of my tools I use a wet rag with some hand cleaner. If the hand cleaner will get the oil, grease and dirt off of my hands then it will get it off of the tools.
